THE END OF HIS AND HERS CIRCUMSTANCES: Last Scene.
The world as we know it was generally destroyed. Waves lapped upon the shore as battered and bruised Yukino awoke. A vague growling-muttering noise pierced the air. As usual, it was Tsubasa, floating in some kind of reddish water. Above her was Asuba's giant white disembodied head. Looking the other direction, she saw Arima, also battered and bruised. He was crying, stopping occasionally to choke out: "No… I am a man… I must be… strong…"
Yukino stared unblinkingly for several long minutes. Then, reaching out a hand, she patted Arima twice on the head, presumably noting that he could probably use a haircut. Arima looked up, staring first at her, and then at what were apparently the remains of Asuba, and lastly bursting into a fresh round of tears. Tsubasa growled as she floated away from the shore on the Primordial-soup Sea.
Yukino blinked once. "You…. ate all the Snickers," she said monotonously.
Arima gulped, and the camera faded.
NOTE: "You ate all the Snickers" is used in the Production AB translation. Many suggest that it could mean that Yukino was actually talking to Tsubasa. However, it could be translated an enormous variety of different ways, and this line has been a subject of debate for over a decade. "All flesh is grass," "You big jerk," "Sigh no more, ladies," "You've become too existential" or "I told you not to push the big red button" are the most popular. "All flesh is grass" and "Sigh no more, ladies" are said because apparently they refer to specifically numbered Biblical and Shakespearean passages of The Book of Ecclesiates and "Much Ado About Nothing," both of which have distinct relation to the show. Other theories suggest that it was a line from a Bob Marley song or an obscure Monty Python reference.
