94 Days of Summer

I close my eyes,

All I see is your smile

And when I dream,

I dream that you're here with me.

Austin Monica Moon.

Why did his parents even give him such a strange middle name? Monica? For a boy?

"Ally!"

Ally jumped back to reality. She took in her surroundings and remembered that she was in the recording studio with Ronnie Ramone.

"Right, I'm totally awake!"

Ronnie looked at her. "Sure you are...That's why I've been trying to get your attention for the last couple of minutes...Anyway we'll see you again tomorrow morning. Go home and get some rest. We did well today."

"Thanks, see you tomorrow," Ally said picking up her songbook and papers.

As she left the studio, her phone buzzed. The pictures from Austin's last concert had been uploaded to his website. As she stepped into the elevator she smiled. Even without her, Austin still seemed to be having a great tour. On her way down to the ground floor, she marveled at the great shots Dez had gotten of the performances.

Ally could hardly believe that it was just over 3 weeks ago that she had chosen to stay and record an album while Austin, Trish and Dez went on tour.

24 days out of 94 down, only 70 to go.

That was ten whole weeks! Ten whole weeks before her friends would be back in Miami.

The elevator doors opened and she walked outside. It had been strange working at Sonic Boom with no-one else there.

Her dad was in the car outside to pick her up.

"Hey sweetie! How are you going with the record? Have you thought of a name yet?"

"No, not yet; and we did pretty well today. We got Finally Me recorded and we're halfway through another."

"That's great sweetie!"

They drove the rest of the way in silence except for the radio. Austin was getting a lot of publicity from his tour and his songs were being played almost back to back. It was strange for Ally when she heard all these songs that she'd helped to write all the time. Especially since Austin wasn't there.

When they got home, Ally raced up to her room. So far she'd thought of lots of possible titles for her album, but none of them felt like they fit right.

And it didn't help that she was so distracted by Austin - even though they weren't even in the same state. Every night she'd dreamed about what would have happened if she had gone on tour with her friends, and also what would actually happen when her friends got back.

Ally had an epiphany. She'd just had the best idea for a song.

When I close my eyes,

all I see is your smile.

And when I dream,

I dream that you're here with me.

It's so much glummer

In these 94 Days of Summer.

"Are you sure that's what you want to name your album?" Ronnie stood in the studio

"Yes, I'm sure," Ally replied with a smile.
