SilverStorm shook her head as the image of her brother faded away. "No!" She hollered. Turning quickly at the sound of laughter behind her. "Did you think it would be that easy?" The ghostly form behind cackled along with the five others. SilverStorms spark bear furiously in her chest, the figures seemed to only be made of floating cloth, where their faces should be was a black whole, their arms were bones. Their voices echoed like a void, in fact that is what they were called, The Voids. SilverStorm dove over a sand mound, quickly rolling down he steep hill. The Voids wasted no time in following her, she planted heavily running for her life. She felt that is all she had done since she came here. A suddenly whisk of wind blew by her, a stick caught her eye. She came to a sliding stop as the arrow landed in front of the Voids causing them to spaz out and flee. SilverStorm panted, "What was that?" A figure about the size of SilverStorm appeared over the sand mounds. It has cloth wrapped around its head and shoulders. SilverStorm could tell it was Cybertronian in form though it's paint was severely faded, covered in scratches and dents. "Who are you?" SilverStorm poses ready to fight. "I'm the one who saved your life." The voice was cold and flat. "Follow me, they will return." Though leery SilverStorm followed the figure through the mounds to a whole in the ground, the hatch was covered with sand. "You except me to follow you down a hole?" The figure continued to climb down, "You can stay here if you wish, the Voids will be back." SilverStorm moaned and followed the figure. "Look who are you? I didn't think anyone else was here." The figure began to unwrap itself once they had come to the bottom. "I knew you were here, I have been trying to find you for months." SilverStorm shook her head, "Months? How have you told time here? The sky is always that navy blue color, it never changes. There is no sun." The figure laughed turning to face her, "Still skeptical as always." SilverStorm gasped stepping backwards nearly falling over a rock. "Elita One!?"
Optimus held the scanner over the area where SilverStorm has appeared, "Anything Ratchet?" Ratchet commed back, "Nothing, Optimus are you certain you saw what you saw?" Optimus was beginning to doubt himself had he really seen her or was it all a hopeful illusion caused by grief.
SilverStorm couldn't believe her eyes, "I can't, I don't, how is this possible?" Elita smiled, "No idea how I got here, last thing I remember is an energon depot exploding on my team." Her face softened, "How's Optimus?" SilverStorm smirked, "Still have feelings for him huh?" Elita twisted her foot, "is that so odd." SilverStorm smiled, "He thinks of you often." Elita smiled, "So he's still single?" SilverStorms mouth dropped open, "Elita!" Elita shrugged, "Just wondering" SilverStorm let out a laugh, "Yes he is, after you...disappeared he never let himself love anyone that way." Elita has a look of relief and sadness on her face. A loud scream came from up above sending a shiver down SilverStorms back. "What in the name of Primus was that?" Elita shook her head, "That's the sound of death, get used to it. It happens a lot. When a Void gets you, you become one." SilverStorm shivered again, "This place is creepy" Elita extended her arm to the next room, "You have no idea." SilverStorm followed where Elita was pointing the room had handmade weapons and coverings. "Have you been here so long?" Elita nodded, "Honestly I've lost track of time." SilverStorm wanted to tell her but feared if she did. Elita pushes, "How long?" SilverStorm sighed, "2 centuries." Elita lowered her head, "I thought as much."
The tow sat in conversation for a good bit before the question pressing on SilverStorm finally came up, "How do we get out of here?" Elita sighed, "There is only one way I have found but the problem is it only appears once every I'm gonna have to guess 100 years considering I've only seen it once and it is about to open again." SilverStorm looked confused, "What is?" Elita motioned for her to follow her. The two climbed out of the hole cautiously, once above ground Elita pointed to the North. "There is a portal that is about to open, a portal back to our world." SilverStorm looked ahead, "Why didn't you leave the last time?" Elita lowered her head. "I tried but the Voids stopped me." Elita showed SilverStorm her arm, a long scar from her shoulder to her wrist. "They nearly had me." SilverStorm grimaced, "So how do we get out this time?" A loud screeched echoed through the dessert. Elita ran quickly for the hatch, "Quickly!" The two jumped down the hole, Elita shushed her as they stood perfectly still. Screeching and wailing echoed above, SilverStorm shivered, her spark jumped. The noises faded into the distance as Elita relaxes herself. "The weapons I have forged will help with your escape." SilverStorm corrected her, "You mean our escape." Elita stammered, "Of course. Our escape." SilverStorm felt uneasy, "Do you not want to escape!" Elita nodded, "Of course I do, though I fear only you will make it." SilverStorm shook her head, "I will not leave here without you!" Elita smiled laying her hand on SilverStorms shoulder, "I sure have missed your spirit" SilverStorm smiled back, "I had always wondered what it would have been like to have a sister, now I may yet find out."
Optimus sat on his bed, looking over to SilverStorms bed. He missed her, so much. He felt nothing but emptiness as he sat in the room alone. Was it all an illusion? He couldn't shake the feeling he had been dreaming, but it seemed so real. He walked over to her bed picking up the data pad he had so often caught her reading. Her favorite story. He held it close to him, how many hours she had spent reading the data pad, she knew it front to back. He laid it back down on the bed. He missed her, how could he go on without her. Ratchet slowly opened the door to find the prime kneeling by SilverStorms bed. The pain in their sparks was all to familiar. Loss had become part of the war, part of life, but still loosing a family member burn them. Ratchet laid a gentle hand on the Prime. "Optimus. We've detected another energon signal." Optimus sighed deeply rising to face his friend. "Gather the team for ground bridging"
SilverStorm and Elita plotted and planned, "You will need these cloaks." SilverStorm grabbed the cloth staring at it in bewilderment, "Why?" Elita showed her, "these cloths where taken from dead Voids, they make us appear from a distance as Voids. They will not engage us. Now if they come closer they will obviously see who we truly are." SilverStorm wrapped herself in the cloaks, "Then let's get started."
