Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, and I believe you can realize.
Theme 100/Variation 5: Heart.
Pairing: Dominique/Teddy.
(I personally love those two.)
Again, any grammar problems are my faults. Dismiss them if you can. If you can't. Show me.
It might be the happiest day of your family. And you tried to convince that it was one of the happiest of your life, too. Because your sister finally found a man to rely on, because he deserved all the happiness in the world.
Because your first love had finally found his home, his paradise, his love.
But you couldn't. No matter how much you wanted, you couldn't forget the days you two held hand, shoulder near shoulder, experiecing many shapes of emotions: loving, angry, bittersweet. You remembered that he and you had walked in the same path, despite how short it was.
Once again, you wished to hold his hand forever. But the waves of life were too strong, and your hands were too weak. You couldn't do anything but walk as he walk away. You couldn't do anything but walk as he found his happiness, another girl and not you.
Because of laments, you usually looked back at the old times. You couldn't deny that you had actually tried to walk the path he had walked, watched each movement of his. You couldn't deny that you had been secretly happy when he did fine, you had been hurt when he was troubled.
But you only stood aside, only looked at him from far way, deep in your own thoughts and hurt in your own way.
You couldn't use word to describe your feelings for him. You didn't know whether you were generous or selfish. You only knew to give your love to him and didn't need him to give his back. You still kept the sadness of old days and created a calm mask for yourself to stand in front of him. Little did he know how depressed you were… to let him see you smile brightly although your heart was broken.
Still, your happiness was made with his smiles. He gave you the invitation which made you full of emotions again, but the happiness was bigger than the sadness, because you know his light would be delightful. And your heart suddenly warmed up again.
It was the first time but definitely the last time… but to you, it was forever.
Your first love… It seemed you must stop for you to move forth. The path he was about to walk would be difficult, but you knew he'd be fine. So that when he looked back, he'd never seen your gaze locking with his.
He caught your gaze and you smile.
That day was the last day you let your hurt pain and beat because of him.
Until the following day, you'd forget his position as your first love. And he'd start seeing you as his sister-in-law.
You wished him a happy wedding. You'd ignore the beat of your heart.
(It is easy to believe in your own lies)
FIN.
Yes, I really like Dominique/Teddy. Still, it is just a short POV of her, I don't think I should go into detail of their appearance.
