Chapter 1
The night of Dean's bachlor party she is out in the town square walking towards Luke with her arms wrapped tightly around herself and sees a few of Dean;s very drunk buddies singing the Stars Hollow High fight song loudly through the square as she makes her way over to the diner and goes inside and Luke comes down and goes behind the counter.
"hey." he says
"hey everything okay?" she wonders
"yeah everything's fine why?" he wonders
"because I think I just saw a few of what I'm assuming to be Dean's bachlor party party guys and they were all extremely drunk." she tells him
"you assume to be right." he tells her
"oh, so um where's Dean?' she wonders
"he's upstairs asleep in my apartment." he tells her
"what?" she wonders confused
"yeah he can't go anywhere else tonight so I'm just going to let him sleep it off and sober up on Jess's old bed: He'll be fine or I'm hoping he will be fine tomorrow before the wedding." Luke tells her
"oh good." she says
"so can I get you some coffee?" he asks her
"um sure." she says and smiles sitting down at the counter
Luke pours her a cup.
"so where's Rory?" he wonders
"oh at home in bed and asleep already." she tells him taking a sip of her coffee
"so she's home for the weekend?" he wonders
"she is." she tells him
"she going to Dean's wedding?" he wonders
"um yea we both are since he invited us both so now I have to get them a present." she tells him
"oh." he says rolling his eyes
"now I have to cough up $40 to get them a stupid salad spinner." she tells him
"don't go then." he tells her
"what?" she wonders confused
"don't go to Dean's wedding." he tells her again
Lorelai scofts "we have to go it's her ex boyfriend it would be rude not to." she tells him
"it'd just be better off for you to not go.' he tells her
"Luke I need a reason not to go; I'm not just going to go with that insane reason." she tells him
