So this is my first Victorious Fanfic, so if it sucks don't hate, but constructive criticism is welcome :)

Trina Vega hated her sister.

From a very young age, Trina knew that Tori was better than her.

Tori was smart, kind, and humble. She was the perfect friend, the girl everyone wanted to be around. Trina, on the other hand, was ditzy, spoiled, and conceited. And she knew it. That was the worst part. She always got stuck with the friends who were cool girls, but who only tolerated her. Tori, on the other hand, was always surrounded by friends who loved her to death.

Enter Lizzie.

Lizzie was a short girl with straight black hair and tan skin who moved to LA in sixth grade. She and Trina became friends instantly. Trina was always eager to make friends, because having friends made you popular, and being popular meant you were worth something.

When Trina decided to try out for Sherwood's school play, Lizzie reluctantly came with her for auditions, because Trina insisted that she wouldn't try out unless Lizzie did too.

Lizzie and Trina both got parts. Days later, Lizzie told Trina that their drama teacher had told her about a school called Hollywood Arts. Much like Trina had done, Lizzie refused to apply to the school unless Trina did too. A month later, they called each other shrieking with excitement. They had gotten their acceptance letters.

Finally, Trina had something that Tori didn't. Talent. With every school production she was in, Trina's parents grew more proud of her. And the less she hated her sister. She didn't feel worthless anymore. And therefore, she couldn't blame her worthlessness on Tori. She loved her sister.

And then there was the Big Showcase. That damn Chinese herbal gargle. Trina wasn't able to sing, so poor little Tori had to step in. Trina hadn't felt worthless in so long that she was glad to let her sister share a little bit of her spotlight for one night.

But then Trina's heart sank. Tori was better than her. There was one thing in Trina's life that made her worth something, and Tori had stolen that too.

Poor wittle Tori's first day of Hollywood Arts had been a disaster. A mean girl had poured coffee on Tori's perfectly straightened hair. Boo-hoo.

But Trina couldn't bear to see her sister pass up an opportunity like this, especially when Tori deserved it so much more than Trina did.

"By the way," Trina turned around to look at the brunette with the wet hair, "I thought you were really good in the Big Showcase."

Tori smiled, "Thanks Treen."

Trina quickly adds some lie about how she would've been amazing, and bounds up the stairs to hide in her room.

Yes, sometimes Trina really does hate her sister.

But most of the time she really just hates herself.
