Operation Escape
Each breath I took was as painful as a dagger stabbing through my heart. I could see the steam come out of my mouth. A puffy white cloud, then nothing, my body ached. I heard heavy footsteps behind me, I kept on running. There was an intersection coming up. No cars, no people, no animals. Just two things: me and him. My lungs were on fire, and my throat was coarse. I'm scared; I don't want to go back with him, not with him! I knew I shouldn't have looked back, but I did and that was the biggest mistake I've ever made. I tripped on a small ditch of sidewalk and collapsed on the spot. The man, seeing the advantage, collected all his energy left and sprinted to me. My eyes widened in horror. No, no, it can't end like this…
Then, it was like time stopped. I could hear my heart beat, my shaky breaths, the slow footsteps of the man coming towards me. I looked down, my feet were bruised and splintered, I had no shoes. I blinked and looked up. He's not running anymore, instead, he's taking his time coming to me. The man's body language tells you that he's won this race. I can see the determination in the way he walks. I know what's going to happen, and I'm not letting him win, not yet. He may have the strength and capability, but what he doesn't have is my wisdom. I let him come closer. By this time, he's looking down at me and smirking. Time goes back to normal again.
He grabs my arm and throws me to a nearby wall. My head throbs in agony of the impact. This wasn't what I had expected him to do, what's gotten into him since I last saw him? I get dizzy and my vision is blurry but I try to look up at him. He stares at me and a smirk creeps in his face as he places his hand beside my head so I can't escape.
"Don't plan to run away again, princess, it'll only get worse for you."
He raises his left hand and touches my right arm. Pressuring it. Testing it. He comes closer and puts his body against mine and smells my hair.
"Stop it, this instant you pervert!"
He stops sniffing my hair and looks straight at my eyes, but he keeps his pressure on my arm. I stare straight back at him and see that his golden hair has been put aside and that he has beautiful sky blue eyes. I involuntarily gasp in his intense gaze as his face comes closer to mine.
"But what if I don't want to?" his voice was hypnotic. I felt something prick against my right arm. My eyes widened in surprise as I felt the drug enter my blood stream. The effect was immediate, I felt my heart slow down and my body beginning to feel numb.
"W-why….?" My voice was fading into a whisper. But he heard it.
"Because they need you…I need you." Hypnotic…yes…indeed it was, because the next thing I knew, blue eyes were invading my vision, then total black.
