With Star-Streaked Dreams
The room was dark as he walked into the mess hall and saw her sat at one of the tables. Happily, he ran to her, throwing his arms around her waist and pillowing his head on her chest.
'Mommy!' He sighed contently as her clear blue eyes caressed his hair.
She opened her eyes, still seeing the dream image in her mind's eye: a child, all dark hair and bronze skin, cuddling closer to her. Her child. Sighing deeply, longingly, she kept hold of the deep love that had permeated her dream, spooned against Chakotay and sleepily closed her eyes.
