SPEAKING HIS MIND

One cloudy day, the super rookie of Shohoku High woke up after a startling dream. he died in that dream. Totally unexpected. And it frightened the hell out of him.
And so, seeming out of himself, he ate whatever there was in the fridge, took a bath, put on his uniform and drove to Shohoku. There were lots of things racing in his mind as he drove that he didn't realize he already arrived at his destination.
As he parked his bike, he saw nobody else around, signaling that he's late for class the third time in a row already.
"Late again," he muttered to himself as he raced towards his classroom.
His entry was quickly noted by the teacher.
"Ah, my favorite student. I was actually wondering when you're going to arrive," commented the teacher. "Would you be so kind as to elaborate on the reason of your tardiness, which for your information is the third time this week already."
"I have nothing to say. It's just that I probably overslept," he replied. He continued "I say probably because I'm not sure," - as the teacher stared at him with a wide-eyed expression - "because I believe I have been out of sorts today so I just did what did - you know eating, taking a bath - and I wasn't aware of the time already."
Rukawa looked knowingly at his teacher and the latter looked right back at him, obviously shocked. He hadn't spoken this much before. And at his first attempt, he's dishing out complete long sentences.
After a minute of silence, the teacher regained his composure. "Alright, you have admitted that the reason for your tardiness is oversleeping so that gives you no reason to sleep in my class today," the teacher remarked.
"Actually, I really should have no reason to sleep in your class today or in any other days. Maybe it's because of your poor handling skills of the class. or probably you're not such a good enforcer of discipline. or you most probably hate me so you don't wanna see me so you let me sleep; either ways, you still allow me to sleep," he retorted as the teacher stared at him with his mouth wide open.
"And I do sleep, and you don't even object or do anything about it. I shouldn't kid myself. You allow me to so I should jump at the chance. After all, you said so yourself that opportunities are hard to come by," he continued.
Rukawa started pacing towards the window so his classmates followed his direction. Looking outside the window as if admiring the view, he remarked, "You know, this subject is so boring. Those long drawling talks churned out by that irritatingly monotonous voice coming from a frivolous son of a man who has really has no idea what he's talking about - that's the reason why I sleep. Man! You should be in my shoes to find out how sitting in this class feels."
And all this time, his teacher was suppressing his anger, a vein throbbing, swelling on his forehead.
Looking at the teacher with a smile on his face, "So there, I've said everything I ever wanted to say in this class. Thank you for listening. Surely that wasn't enough for all those times my ears had a beating from all those useless crap that entered them. Anyway, I don't want to argue. I'm just explaining my side. Thanks again for letting me sleep. I surely needed those."
And then the bell rang.
"Ta-ta," he said with a wave as he sauntered out of the classroom leaving his classmates shocked and his teacher staring at his back with a bewildered expression, stunned at what has just happened.
