One-shot of RAMY after they get home from graduation, before the party:)

Amy's POV

I closed the door for Ricky as he carried our sleeping son back to his room. We hadn't been able to talk alone about everything that happened today. Everyone was congratulating me after the ceremony. Madison and Lauren wouldn't let go of my hand the entire time, my hand with the ring. THE ring. The ring I have been waiting for. Ricky wants to spend the rest of his life with me. I am still in shock that he proposed, and in such a public way. I always fantasized how Ricky would propose to me, but this was nothing like my imagination. I always thought it would happen in a couple years at least. I figure he would either do it here at home or in a more private place, not in front of his entire high school class, teachers, and everyone there to watch their loved ones graduate. But that's Ricky, I never know what he is up too. He always keeps me guessing.

"Hey," Ricky says, walking back into the room. "John barely even woke up, I can't believe he fell asleep so fast in the car. He must have been exhausted."

"Must have been all those people with us today," I smile.

"Yea, everyone was pretty happy for us."

"We have some great people supporting us," I say, sitting on the couch.

"Is everything ok?" Ricky asked, sitting down next to me.

"Of course, the man I love just proposed to me today. The last time I was this happy was when John was born."

"That was a great day in our lives, wasn't it?" Ricky wonders aloud. I can tell he's thinking of everything that happened that day.

"Look, I am really sorry I was so mean to you that day. And I'm sorry that I didn't let you be in the room when he was born," I start talking as fast I can, wanting to get it all out.

"Hey, hey, hey," Ricky says, putting his arm around me and pulling me back next to him. "It's ok. We weren't where we are now. It's taken a lot of time for us to fall in love. We have been through a lot of ups and downs. That just happened to be one of the downs. But it's ok, I understand why you treated me the way you did and why I wasn't in the room."

"I just don't want you to be mad at me. I was a stupid 15 year old girl back then, I'm much smarter now," I joke.

"Well obviously I mean you did say yes to me," he teases. "But seriously, it's ok. That happened so long ago. We are in a much better place now."

"Yea we are," I say as I hold up my hand, showing off my ring.

We just sit there staring at my ring.

"It's beautiful," I breathe.

"You think so?" Ricky asks.

"Of course it is. I love it almost as much as I love you Ricky Underwood," I joke, laying my hand on his knee, ring still in full view.

"I love you too future Amy Underwood."

"Amy Underwood. Now that has such a great ring to it, doesn't it?" I joke.

"It sounds perfect," Ricky smiles as he leans down to kiss me.

"Did you still want to go to that party?" Ricky asks, as he pulls away.

"It's completely up to you, it's your graduation."

"Let's go, you can show off your ring," Ricky decides with a smirk.

"Yay," I cheer.

Ricky laughs as he leans down to kiss me again.

"But we might be showing up a little late for the party," Ricky says against my lips.

I respond by deepening the kiss.

I am in love with this man and I get to spend the rest of my life with him. I couldn't have been happier.
