The Best Part of Life
"Alice! Tsk, Alice! Wait up!"
The young lady tiptoed hastily, her face lit up in happiness. Arms extended, feeling the warmth of sunshine.
Behind, a young man with tall hat tailed her. He barely reached the girl's step as their gap was quite lengthy. "Hey! Wait for me!"
"Hatter, you're slow as ever." Alice stopped in her tracks upon feeling that Mad Hatter was way too far from her. She merely could see his huge hat expelling rollerblades. Then his figure was getting closer, closer, and now was a meter away.
"What's so good to be in a hurry?" Hatter replaced the rollerblades. "Life is too short, dear. Enjoy it."
"I do." Alice smiled sweetly. "We'd better hurry up because the best part of life that will not happen twice awaits us!"
Hatter felt his hand was gripped by Alice. All he knew then was that ribbon girl dragged him along to the certain destination, the Cotton Candy Castle.
The Queen held a party for the entire Wonderland's inmates. Before they faced the infamous Tweedledum and Tweedledee, Hatter stopped in his tracks, causing Alice's falling.
"Aww! What are you doing, Hatter?"
Hatter remained silent. The wavy-haired male then grasped Alice's hand abruptly, and much to Alice's disbelief, he brought them away from the castle.
"W-what the heck are you, Hatter! The Castle is only a few steps away! Hey!"
"You said you will attend the best part of life, didn't you?"
"Ermmm... yes? We will attend the party, right? The Queen said that there will be surprise gifts for those who-"
A soft kiss cut her mid-sentence.
"This is the best part of life, Alice."
