I'm Alive
A cry fills the moonlit night. Her eyes scan the horizon. She feels both of them. They are still alive.
In a downward spiral, she streaks through the clouds and decends upon the orange rocks below. Scanning the formation in front of her, she senses no presence. Spinning around she takes note of where she came from.
They were supposed to be here. I got out. WHERE ARE THEY?!
In a panic, she shoots up and over the mountains, remembering every last step they took before she was apprehended. She hated that word. The word penetrated deep inside of her system and made her heave.
Picking up a faint signal she heads towards the sound. The faster she flew, the signal got more loud, filling the cockpit. The sound buzzed all around and only the faint hiss of her engine could be heard if you were patient enough.
Finally, her heat sensors picked up the bodies below. 8 individuals and two were hers.
Slipping into her silent and stealth mode, she made her move to the earth below. She ran her scanners, checked the parameters and when she felt the time was right she let loose her firey cannons, making sure to avoid her saviors.
The faces of her saviors made her feel welcome and of course they were shocked.
Not knowing what they were facing, her saviors ran towards her without hesitation.
Popping her door and making a shield, her saviors boarded her domain. All was right now, except for the last man standing, thinking he could win.
Spinning around and spitting out death with one last breath and thrusting herself towards the starry sky, letting out a howl that made her saviors shake at what just happened on the ground below.
Back at the New Lair, her saviors crept out of her cabin. A slow hiss emanated from her engine. To Hawke and Caitlin, it sounded like a happy type of hiss. If a hiss could sound happy…either way, they both were in awe of the events that just happened. Did she just save the both of them? How did she just fly unmanned? There must be something else at play, they thought. Maybe someone is trying to sabotage her?
But she sat there while both her saviors looked at her with amazement. She would have to keep silent for now. She liked it that way. She felt at piece that she was back in her Lair. Until the next adventure, she would lay in wait and in time, her howl would pierce the skies demanding you to face her inevitable force; that is Airwolf.
