Hatake Kakashi was a prodigy child. Orphaned at five, he passed through the Academy quickly. In battle, he was seen by those looking on as a dancer. When told by Minato-sensei, Kakashi laughed and told the future Hokage that he didn't dance. He was planning each step as he took it. The blonde asked where all of Kakashi's strength came from, and the silver haired Chunin shrugged and stated that he was waiting for something unknown. Years later, Kakashi was awe-struck by someone who danced as they fought. He loved that feeling and the dancer.

She stood tall though she had been told all her life she wasn't good enough. He didn't care that she blushed and stuttered. He protected her more than once, and every time he saw her grow even stronger. She was his dancer with enough power to leave him in awe every time. She acted nervous and stuttered for everyone, but it was gone when he was around. Yeah, his heart was stolen by this small dancer.

One of their missions together had been two weeks long, but he knew he could handle being around her with acting too awed. That only stood until he kissed her in front of the enemies and then went to cut them down with the Chidori. She always made him feel like a commoner looking at beauty. He told her that if were the king of a castle, she would be his queen. That night, he confessed his love for her, and she loved him just as deep.

He walked away from her to his ANBU team after kissing her. He patted her stomach and knew he had to return soon. His child was waiting for him. He travelled through the forest with his team and remembered the dancer he loved. She had cried the day they found out, and he had cried too. He grew more and more happy and excited as they spent a few months together. He never knew he would only be known to his unborn child by the stories told.

The enemy caught them unaware and ambushed them. He looked at the death all around him as he slumped against a tree. Naruto had gone back for the backup team to hurry up, but Kakashi had a feeling he would be dead before seeing the blonde. He smiled and closed his eyes. He wasn't dead yet. He spat the blood in his mouth out and sighed.

He was remembering his dancer. Every moment spent with her, every kiss, every touch, every goodbye, and every greeting swam behind his eyes. He felt the tears trailing down his cheeks. He felt himself being moved for the medics, and he opened his eyes to look at Naruto. The blonde was crying too. Kakashi smiled.

"Naruto, tell Hinata-chan that I'm sorry," Kakashi whispered. Naruto shook his head, unable to talk to encourage his sensei to live. "I'm so…" Kakashi's eyes glazed over and shut. Naruto screamed out, but Kakashi couldn't hear him. He forever had his last moments remember – he thought he was alive still and watching this – him being awe-struck by a tiny dancer with white eyes. He died smiling because Death finally stopped dancing with him. He could dance with his tiny dancer now forever.
