Harry blearily opened his eyes, muscles stiff from sleeping in the Room of Requirement and felt something... squishy beneath his head. Green eyes stared wide at the blonde woman above him, combing gentle fingers through his hair and humming in that peculiar and soothing way. She smelt of... raspberries and sweet dreams.

Luna Lovegood.

He gasped a wide breath, fear starting to pump through his veins like hot blood, and sat up out of her lap. Harry hugged himself tight, wondering what awful spell she had cast on him this time. It wasn't safe to sleep with Luna, for Luna felt that anyone who slept beside you she had a write to challenge with the most obnoxious of things... not that Harry didn't love her.

His eyes fell rushedly, scanning his limbs for any extra ones or missing fingers. Harry lifted his shirt briefly, to check his skin was still properly in place when he found it. Ice seeped into his bones.

"Darling?"

He squeaked, turning around and tracing eyes over her cool expression. Luna smiled mischievously and Harry shuddered, goosebumps springing up over his skin,

"What does the rainbow mean?"

Luna giggled in that haunting way that Harry both adored and feared. She was the only woman to ever understand him, ever accept all his faults and mishaps, ever to make him feel like he was the reason the world spun, but she was also the only woman he was truly terrified of.

At least their relationship was adventurous.

"Pride, silly, pride. Its an ancient symbol for pride of being and pride of looooove..."

Harry whispered,

"What will it do to me?"

Luna's eyes raised with that enchanting blue, gazing over his face in wonderment, and she held out a hand to his cheek,

"Set you free."

Harry placed a hand to his chest, circled the painted rainbow on his abdomen, and looked at her with astonished eyes. She may be scary, but Luna treated him better than anyone else.
