Declaimer: I do not own the characters, just using them for some fun, and I will return them….prettily unharmed, just a bit worse for the use.
A Lucky Jump
The rope was almost broken.
The werewolf inside the cage was moving too much, and Velkan had already lost his gun in the attempt of not getting smashed between the tree and the iron cage.
He knew the peasant's bullets wouldn't do a thing to the creature, they'll just get "it" more furious.
Even Anna's sword would not kill the werewolf. In fact , it wouldn't do anything at all! She should be just a few centimeters away from the beast to hit him with her sword, and if he could manage to get this close, she would surely be his next meal!
...And, by the way, a most important fact was that the sword was not even made of silver…..something you should consider in a swordfight against a werewolf, just saying.
And to think that, by now, she should have learned better than to run to face a monster like that with a toothpick! ...legacy of fighting monsters and all...
But for sure it appeared intelligence didn't run in the family, 'couse Velkan next command was "cut the rope!"
Ehmm…...scuse me, but wouldn't that slam the cage exactly over Anna's head? ...just wondering.
Anyway, the rope did broke on its own, and the cage fell just inches away from where Anna was standing.
The werewolf ripped open the iron bars, and went for her.
She started running, and sure enough the monster went after her.
She run breathlessly, till she couldn't go any furter, she had reached the far end of the cliff…..she was screwed…...Well, the least you should expect from people preparing a trap is that at least they would take the time to study the territory and know the place where they'd be setting it!...
Behind her, the werewolf jumped at her.
All of a sudden, out o nowhere came out Velkan, who had had the time to come down from the tree, retrieve his gun gone lost, and run faster than the werewolf….and the wolfie, too, should be of the same family, 'couse he did not notice Velkan beat him in the 100meter run! Ohhh, or probably Anna had taken the longer panoramic path to get there!
Velkan plan was to throw himself at Anna to protect her, putting her out of harms way and shoot at the monster at the same time…...Yeah, he still had quite some energy to spare.
Instead he tripped in his own foot, resulting anyway for pure luck in getting himself and Anna to the ground.
Oh, and mind you that while all this was happening the poor werewolf was still in mid air, from the jump.
Watching his pray far down beneath him, the poor monster realized that maybe in his momentum he had leapt too high for that jump…the edge of the cliff awaited him, and groaning an "oh shit" he fell down.
Uff, what a exhausting day of work!
Hehe, sorry for that guys!
I do like the movie! Is just that every time I watch that particular scene I can't help myself and that's what I think in my mind! ...yep, got a cinical satirical mind sometime! ;)
Hope you all enjoyed this lil story!
