Wat sighed as he stared at Kate. He did that a lot, staring, mostly at her. It was the wedding of William and Jocelyn and he had barely noticed the couple. He had spent all his time watching Kate.

Geoffrey Chaucer came and sat beside him at the banquet. "What's up mate?"

"Why should anything be wrong?"

"You haven't stopped staring at Kate all day." Drat! He noticed! "Just grab her and kiss her!"

"Geof, normally I would, but Kate would probably beat me into a pulp if I did."

"You coward, Wat!"

"Yeah I'm a coward, so what? What should I do?"

"Get her a gift."

"Like what? A new hammer? An anvil?"

"No, stupid. Something pretty, like jewellery. Women love jewellery."

"This is Kate we're talking about. She's more a blacksmith than a woman."

"I heard that!" Kate shouted from across the hall. She was sitting with Jocelyn and Christiana and the three of them are looking over at the four boys with a superior air. The party was in full swing and a few people were dancing. "Look, you want to impress me, then dance with me." Kate showed surprising flirtatiousness for her.

A few people around them gasped, the Black Prince Edward included. This woman was forward.

Kate rose from her seat. She was looking surprisingly good in a green and bronze dress with her hair down. "I know you won't ever ask me, well I have some advice for everyone. Ladies? Shall we?" she motioned to everyone and the boys got up and the dancers stopped and our principle players got onto the dance floor.

Kate and Jocelyn took the floor and Christiana followed. "Let's get this party started!" Kate shouted. They burst into a rendition of It's In His Kiss by Cher (a/n I know it's set in the middle ages and the song is about 500 years out but they did it in the film so I'm doing it too.)

The boys were stunned and the girls totally held the room. They were surprisingly good and surprised everyone. They danced too and did so incredibly sexily.

As the song made its last dash for the end the girls danced towards the boys, with Kate in the lead. Kate drew Wat out and let Jocelyn and Christiana finish the song as she grabbed Wat and kissed him.

"This is how we do things in England, these days." She said as she pushed him away slightly.

"You sure? It felt French to me!" He laughed still hanging on to her. She laughed into his shoulder.

Everyone laughed with them and a few friends applauded led by William and Roland.

Christiana came over and tapped Kate on the shoulder. "Psst! I have some news for you."

"What is it Chrissy?"

Christiana giggled like a schoolgirl and held up her left hand triumphantly.

"Hah! He didn't!" Kate let go of Wat and grabbed the proffered hand and examined the ring. "He finally asked you! Congratulations! Seems like we're all getting together then."

"Certainly seems that way." Christiana chuckled as Roland and Wat came up behind their girls and hugged them from behind. Jocelyn and William gathered round too. Geoffrey whistled and his wife came forward and they joined them.

"There's nothing like a wedding for bringing people together, is there?" Prince Edward said coming up with his wife in tow. "Congratulations all! And this time I mean it!"

Prince Edward cued the band and they started playing. Ironically it was Monty Python's Knights of the Round Table. They all started singing and dancing, laughing all the time.
