Sirius sat in front of James, his fingers tugging at his pajamas restlessly as his friend stared at him in disbelief.
"You mean that...with...?" muttered James incredulously, his green eyes wide behind his spectacles.
"Yes, James. I'm in love with Rem," replied Sirius in a tired voice, as though this was not the first time he had repeated himself. James rocked backward slowly, his mouth opening and closing in a ridiculous parody of a fish.
"Wow," said James finally. "Have you told him?"
"No!" shrieked Sirius, his eyes turning to saucers. "Are you insane? He'd hate me!"
Suddenly the sound of the door opening disturbed the two boys, who leapt up guilty as Remus stepped into the room.
"Hi Remus! Where've you been?" said James quickly in an attempt to draw the attention away from what they had been doing. Remus simply sighed and walked straight to Sirius. As he leant down, he flicked his tawny hair from his eyes.
"I heard you," he whispered softly, his amber eyes boring into Sirius' grey. Sirius swallowed heavily, his shoulders tensing in preparation for the blow he felt sure he would recieve.
"Moony! Don't hurt him!" screeched James, his wand shaking in his hand. Remus chuckled softly as he leant forward and pressed his lips to Sirius', completely ignoring James who promptly blushed a furious shade of magenta. After several moments Remus leant back and grinned.
"Oh yes. I heard you. Wolfie senses, remember?" he said casually as he strolled away from a rather shocked Sirius. After throwing himself onto his bed he turned toward Sirius and allowed his lips to quirk in a small smile, controlling the laughter that fought to bubble out of his chest at his friends identical expressions of shock.
"Love you too, you great git." Remus stated softly before tugging his curtains shut.
