A/N: Woah, third story. New combo! Anyways... enjoy! ;)

Disclaimer: I do NOT own Law & Order: SVU, because with that, Elliot wouldn't have left.

Elliot Stabler laid on the couch, his arms around his wife, Kathy, who snuggled up to his chest. They just laid there, enjoying the silence of the kids being out of the house. They loved them, but it was so quiet when they were away. Elliot sighed, closing his eyes, stroking the back of the blonde who was sleeping now. He looked out of the window, watching the snow fall slowly down to the ground, leaving everything in white. It was cold outside, but here, inside the house, the heating was running and making everything comfortably warm. Watching the snowflakes fall, he drifted of into a light sleep.

Snowflakes fell on the black coat the young Elliot was wearing. He walked up to the church steps, taking them all too slow. He had no idea what he was doing here. He had just wanted to walk around getting a clear head. That was all. Elliot pushed the heavy wooden door open, entering the cool air inside the old church. He sat down on a bench in the last row and folded his hands in his lap. Long time he just stared at the cross, letting his thoughts fly. Then, he kneeled down and began to pray. Not the normal things everyone knew, but his own, unique pray. 'Dear God.' he thought. 'With all my love I pray to you. With all my heart I'm searching for you. My heart will always be open to hear your words to do the right thing. But for now, I'm searching for the surety that the bond with my wife will be strong enough to survive all ordeal life has prepared for us. Please let us stay strong to survive everything. I do love her and I don't want to lose her. Amen.' With that, he stood up and walked out of the church, now feeling confident enough to take on everything the world had in store for him and his family.

A/N: I know it's not that fancy, but it came to my mind sitting in my bed with flu (I still got it) and I wanted to write it.
