Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, or The Doctor or Rose. Or the TARDIS

So it's been a while since I've written any stories, but yesterday was Easter and I was hanging with my sister and stuff. That's why ILoveWillRiker hasn't written anything, either. And I have gotten into the habit a little of writing a chapter of Fairy Lights: Stories of the Yule Ballevery night, but I went to the Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday night and that went from about 8:45 until past midnight. So I haven't had time.

Anyway, here's a Rose/10th Doctor fanfic! Just to make it clear, I will never write with any other Doctor. I hate the future ones, and I'm not big on Christopher Eccleston, either.

Rose Tyler ran her fingers through her hair and drummed her feet against the floor of the TARDIS. Though it was whizzing fast along through space, it didn't feel like it. It was very calm and silent. Peaceful, that was the word.

"Kind of peaceful, isn't it?" The Doctor said, interrupting her thoughts.

She laughed. He could always read her mind for some reason. She looked up at him. "Yeah. That's exactly what I was thinking."

He nodded and grinned. "Well, it's going to be peaceful for a little bit longer. We're encountering some difficulties."

Rose jumped up. "What kind of difficulties?"

"Doesn't matter."

Rose rolled her eyes. "I'm sorry, but when Mum says that it means she wants help..."

The Doctor grinned again, in that special way of his. "I'm not really your Mum."

Rose burst out laughing and sat down again. "Touché."

"Touché? Isn't that in karate or-fencing, it's in fencing, I knew that," The Doctor said. Seeing the look on Rose's face, he smiled. "I did."

Rose laughed. "Of course you did. Yep, totally in karate. I did karate when I was a kid, it was pretty..."

Her voice trailed off into a very deep silence. Rose pretended to be examining the floor, not wanting to look up.

Finally, The Doctor stood up perfectly casually, obviously not bothered or embarrassed. "This is really peaceful," he said.

Rose looked up and smiled. "Completely."

And she threw herself into The Doctor's arms.

Did you like it at least a little bit? I know it's short, but I wrote it on my iPhone in bed last night (I gotta get out of the habit of doing that!)

Please review it if you can! It makes me happy! Anybody can review, even if they don't have an account! Thanks!

Linley :)
