The ceiling of the Great Hall was exactly as it looked outside, foggy and gloomy. The weather reflected Kelsey mood. Remus, James, Sirius, and Peter had, once again, disappeared last night. She hated how they were always going off on adventures without her and Lily. As the two girls were talking about this, the four pranksters walked into the Great Hall. James was the first to reach them. "Hi ladies," He said and quickly kissed Lily on the cheek. "Hey you," she smiled and kissed him back. James sat across from them.

Sirius and Remus sat on either side of him and Peter sat next to Sirius. Kelsey squinted at Remus who had his head down. "What's that on your face?" she asked. "Nothing's on my face," he mumbled, pushing around a piece of pancake on his plate with his fork. Kelsey put her hand under his chin, lifted his head, and gasped. From the tip of his lip and across his right cheek there was a long, skinny gash. It was fresh, swollen, and looked as if it might start to bleed at any moment. Kelsey gently brushed it and Remus winced.

Kelsey was speechless. "Merlin's beard," Lily whispered. "It's nothing," he mumbled again. "Because when random gashes appear on my face, everything's fine," Kelsey said sarcastically. Remus looked up at Kelsey and shook his head. "You have no idea." "Then tell me!" she pleaded. "I can't say so can you leave it at that?" he asked. "Not really, no. Remus, I'm worried about you. It's been six years since we met. I might not have known you since your first year like the guys, but aren't I just as much of a friend?"

"Of course you are!" he exclaimed. "I don't mean to annoy you, but I really need to know." Then I remembered Lily didn't know either. "Why do are you four always disappearing at night?" she asked. Remus sighed. James patted him on the shoulder and said, "We should tell them," Remus nodded. "You tell Kelsey out in the corridor. We'll tell Lily here," Sirius said. Remus nodded again and began walking out into the hall. She hesitated before following.

The hall was completely empty since everyone was eating breakfast. Remus paced up and down with both hands in his pockets. "Now what's going on?" she hissed. He shook his head. "I really should have told you before now. I really should have." He stopped pacing and stared straight into her brown eyes. "I'm in love with you," he said. Kelsey smiled at him, feeling as if her feet would lift off the ground. "I think I'm in love with you, too," she giggled. Remus groaned. "Oh, no. No, no, no, no, no! You can't. You can't love me," he cried.

"Why not? You just said you love me," Kelsey said, feeling hurt. "I know, but I wish I didn't." They stood in hall for a few minutes in silence. Remus stared through the window closest to them. The sky was still gray and sad. Kelsey kept her eyes locked on Remus' shoes. Remus covered half his face with one hand. The other half of his face was covered with his hair. "Kelsey, I'm a werewolf."

Kelsey raised her head and stared at him. She slowly stepped closer to him. They stood close together, the tips of their shoes touching each others. She took the hand Remus held to his face. It had been hiding the scar. Remus picked up his head leaned down to kiss her. He only kissed her for a split second before pulled his head back. Then Kelsey raised her body up higher and kissed him back. They stood there for what felt like hours, but it was probably only a few minutes.

"Yeah Remus!" Sirius yelled behind them. Kelsey turned around and Remus looked up. Sirius, James, Lily, and Peter all stood by the entrance to the Great Hall. The boys laughed and Lily just slapped Sirius' arm and shook her head. Kelsey turned back to Remus she giggled. "Did you actually think, Remus Lupin that one little detail was going to make me not love you?"
