"Come on, Bon Qui Qui!" Equius turned a deep royal blue when he heard Nepeta using his, erm, nickname. The young feline enthusiast had been conversing with Dave about Human life and culture. Even though this was more so Aradia's thing, Nepeta had insisted on filling in for Aradia, who had come down with a human virus called a "cold".
"Nepeta, it has come to my attention that perhaps it was not the best idea to ask the Dave human to inform you about this, hole in the two different cultures of our planets." Equius panted. Nepeta just waved him off.
"Bon Qui Qui, I'm paw-sitive it's a good thing! Dave said that it meant a strong, handsome ruler!" Nepeta said, smiling widely. Of course Dave had told her what it really meant, she just thought it would be funny to dub Equius "Bon Qui Qui".
Equius flushed again. "S-strong?" That had caught his attention. "Well, I suppose that, under some circumstances, it would be considered 'alright' if you wanted to call me, err, 'Bon Qui Qui'."
"Purrfect!"
"Bon Qui Qui, don't furr-get to give me a hug~" This time, Equius did not blush. The humans, however, started to laugh. Equius narrowed his eyes.
"I do not understand why you are making noises of hilarity. The term she used for me is quite true to what it means. I am the best Bon Qui Qui there is." Equius said, defended himself.
John laughed a little, and elbowed Rose.
"Hehe, do you want to tell him what it means?" John snorted.
"If it means that he will not embarrass himself, I shall. Equius, 'Bon Qui Qui' means-"
"When a person such as yourself achieves pure greatness." Dave had cut her off. Equius held his head up high, and strode off with Nepeta on his shoulders.
"I just wanna see how long this goes on."
