Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who or Martha or Jack, or the London Eye or the London Jack or... there's so many things I don't own :(
So justareader13 suggested that I do a followup to my past Jack/Martha story Jack on Tottenham, and I thought it was a good idea so I wrote this for you, justareader13! If you like it, thank them, not just me, for suggesting that, because I would not have thought of it myself.
Here's the link for Jack on Tottenham: .net/s/7996301/1/Jack_on_Tottenham
Add fanfiction to the front of that .net because you can't put official links here...
Anyway, here's my Jack/Martha story!
Martha Jones stood watching the London Eye, very aware of the arm around her and the many lovers standing right by her.
"How's Torchwood?" Martha asked Jack, wishing for news about someplace other then boring old London.
Jack shrugged. "Oh, we've had some things going on, you know? We get a little busy sometimes."
Martha laughed. "Oh, 'course."
"Yeah, you know take one of your normal day's excitement, and divide it by about ten."
Martha rolled her eyes, trying to hide the tears that were almost coming. "How long till you go back?"
Jack shrugged, looking reassuringly at her. "Oh, you know, whenever. I just sorta get a holiday round each month or so."
"Every month?" Martha's eyed widened. "Isn't that a lot?"
"Well, you know me. I'm just an immortal guy who saves the universe as a hobby, but they did finally give me a little extra wages and holiday time after I begged."
Martha giggled. She rarely giggled. "Where do you go on holiday?"
"Well, actually, I've been thinking about that," Jack said, watching the London Eye almost reach the top now.
Martha was still watching him, not paying attention the the wheel. "What have you been considering? You might do nice in America."
"Well, the problem with that is those stupid airplanes. They're never going to be starships. And then there's that whole crashing aspect. I don't fancy falling a million feet, and then waking up after it."
Martha smiled inwardly. "But then what have you decided?"
"Well, I was thinking close places, you know? And then this brilliant idea came to me. You know, there's this place a lot of people go to. London? You heard of it?"
Suddenly Martha was laughing harder then she'd laughed in ages. "Really, Jack? Really?"
"Really."
And, for the first time in her life, Martha realized she looked just like every other lover there as Jack kissed her.
Like it? I hope so! Again, I know it's incredibly short, but it was written last night on "Notes" on my iPhone, and then I emailed it to myself and now I have it on my computer but it looks a lot shorter now and... well, sorry about that.
Linley :)
