Rose stood over the Doctor as he stood over her. It was a strange concept, she'd admit, but it was mesmerizing all the same. Rose, the other Rose, was lying on the grating of the TARDIS, blood soaking through her shirt and trickling lightly out of her mouth. This Rose felt like she should be panicked at seeing herself laying in such a tragic state, but she just didn't. She could only feel lightness wash over her as she took in the scene.

She stood there behind the Doctor and placed a hand on his shoulder. He couldn't feel it, of course, this Rose wasn't exactly solid. She was more of a faint light if anything, but even then, the Doctor couldn't see her. For a moment, she forgot this was the case and reached out to try and wipe away the tears that were streaming down his face. She stopped, however, when her touch did nothing to get rid of the wet trails that were stained there.

She walked around her other self until she was standing next to her head. It had been tragic, what happened, and Rose knew that the Doctor would blame himself for years for what had become of his Rose. It wasn't his fault, though. How could it have been? He didn't know that Rose would just happen to walk right out in front of a man that was the target of a shooter. He hadn't known that'd he'd need to distract her for a few more seconds to change her fate. Rose frowned as she looked at her Doctor again.

"I.. I'm so sorry, Rose." He sobbed. He wasn't looking at this version of her, of course, his eyes were focused on the lifeless Rose still laying on the grating. "I.." His voice cracked. "I tried to save you. I swear I did." He reached out to grab the other Rose's hand, and this Rose felt a pang of pity flow through her. She knew he was going to be alone again, and it broke her heart. "I just couldn't get to you in time." This Rose walked back over to him and crouched down to be at eye-level. She hesitated when his eyes didn't come up to meet hers, but shook it off and spoke anyway.

"Doctor, there was nothing you could do." She knew there was no way he could hear her words, but she just had to get them out. "You had no idea any of this was going to happen. It's not your fault and I don't blame you." The Doctor suddenly paused his crying, and for a moment, Rose thought he had actually heard her. She realized she was wrong, however, when he abruptly stood and started walking down the corridor. Rose followed him, curiously, and watched as he stopped in front of her bedroom. He took a deep breath as he pushed open the door, and his face hardened as he looked around him.

"Oh, Rose." He sighed, walking into the room. He went over to her bed and sat down, smiling lightly as the shift in the bed caused a teddy bear to roll down and land against his leg. He picked it up and gave it a sad smile before pulling it to his chest and holding it there, tightly. A few more tears escaped and wet its fur. "I'm going to have to take you home to Jackie." He murmured to the air, before placing the bear on Rose's pillow and walking back to the door way. He took one last look around the bedroom before pulling the door closed and walking back into the console room. Rose followed silently.

A single tear slid down Rose's cheek as she watched the Doctor kneel over her other self and place a kiss on her forehead. "I love you, my pink and yellow girl." He whispered.

Rose smiled. "I love you too, my Doctor." She watched as he went over to the console, and as he made his ship start to dematerialize, Rose slowly started to fade away as well, a sad smile playing across her lips. She knew deep down that her Doctor would be alright in the end, he just needed to find another companion. She knew it would take him some time, of course, but eventually, he would find himself another hand to hold.
