Hi! This is my first Brave fanfic so please be nice!

"Why?!"

"Because it's tradition!"

"But I'm not ready!"

"Listen, I understand what you're feeling. But-"

"But nothin', Mom! You don't understand! I want to marry on my own time! Not when you want me to!"

"Caileen, you are making me loose my patience!"

"I don't care! I'm not doing it! You don't even know if he'll be abusive to me! Your only child!"

SLAP!

"Now you listen! It is tradition! I don't care how many times you protest! You are going to marry him and I will not tolerate your childish rambling! Now GO TO YOUR ROOM!"

Tears ran down my face as I turned and ran into my room and slammed the door shut. I'm sorry you had to see that. Wait a minute! I forgot to introduce myself! My name is Caileen. I am the princess of Clan Demeter. My mother is Anoushka. She is the Queen of Clan Demeter. As you have seen, she has a small temper and is a bit demanding. If you were wondering who we were talking about then let me satisfy that curiosity. I'm supposed to be marrying Bicoir of Clan Macintosh. I've never met him but I've heard rumors about him. Some good some bad. Yet, my mother still wants me to marry him. It irritates me very badly but I don't wanna get hit or yelled at anymore so I give up. I'll see how this marriage goes but if I don't like how it turns out then I'll just leave. Simple as that. Plus I'm sure that my father, Angus would be glad to take me home anyway. He's just that cool for a father. I love him more than my mom. I know that sounded rude but it's the truth. He's more fun and happy-go-lucky kind of man and my mother is the strict and stern one. But they still love each other. To be honest, they remind me of Uncle Fergus and Auntie Elinor. Yes they're my aunt and uncle and yes, Princess Merida is my cousin along with her three mischievous brothers. But anyway, that's all you need to know about me for now.

I flopped on my bed and screamed into my pillows until I felt better. Meaning that I screamed for an hour and now my head and throat hurt. I looked out my window on the left hand side of me and saw that it was around late afternoon so I cleaned myself up and went outside to the stables.

When I got to my destination, I walked over to my horse, Douglas. He's a black stallion that is very fast and fierce. He's my best friend. Any-who, I greeted him by petting him and letting him sniff me. Then I grabbed my saddle and set it up on Douglas's back and got on. Then I snapped the reins and sped off into the forest.

I know that it was short and all but don't worry, more is sure to come! Let me know what you think!
