Brian sighed as he sat in the living room of his apartment he shared with Madison most of the time; she said she would come back for her stuff later. He couldn't remember what they fought about; he just remembered telling her he loved her. Maybe that scared him, he didn't know. He looked around the apartment that was soon to be empty. There had to be something to say when the one person you care about is about to walk out of your life. I mean Madison and Brian they weren't supposed to be this, when he met her at the bar again two years ago, no way he thought he'd be dating her or living with her. Brian shook his head, trying to get all the thoughts out when he heard the door open and watched Madison walk inside.
Brian got off the couch and walked towards her, she gave him that 'don't' look but he couldn't help it. "Look, I'm used to leaving; I've been pretty good at it. I have never done this with a girl, never had a girl more than a couple months. And I am going to be honest with you, I have never loved anyone more than I love my sisters." Brian said softly as he watched her brown hair fall over her shoulders as she moved to walk away from him.
Madison shook her head as she tried to move towards the bedroom to grab the rest of her things. "Is that supposed to make me feel better?" She asked her voice soft. Madison sighed as Brian wouldn't step out of the way, she might as well hear him out. She crossed her arms and waited to see what else he had to say.
"My parents died, and I had to be a father to them okay? I live my life one mile at a time, I never thought about settling down with anyone, never thought about getting a house, having a kid, none of that ever mattered to me." Brian said, trying to be as honest with her as he possibly could. "Then I met you." He said in a soft voice as he looked down at Madison.
Brian bit on his lip as he looked down at her, taking one of her hands in his. "So please, I'm really trying to let you in here, I am trying. Please just don't leave." Brian said softly. If a girl wanted out, he normally held the door as they left but with Madison he couldn't. He wanted to fight to keep her with him, because like he said he had never loved anyone more than his sisters, Lauren and Kate but that was changing. He was in love with Madison, and would do anything for her.
