Jinx sat perched on the edge of the badly-made bed, unconciously spinning a rose in her fingers. She was staying in a dingy hotel with poorly-presented rooms. The cream-painted walls were peeling, the floors creaked under people's feet and the ceiling leaked. She had been staying from hotel to hotel since she had left the H.I.V.E Five, seeing as she no longer had a bed-room to return to. That, and, she had completely destroyed her room when trying to capture Kid Flash.
Kid Flash. The single most fastest boy alive. Jinx laid back and sighed, thinking of the boy that had spoken to her as though she were a person. Unlike others, who either addressed her as an inferior being or as an enemy. Or a superior. But she didn't mind being spoken to as such.
The boy, with his spikey, crimson-red hair and tight yellow-red uniform, had crossed Jinx's mind a lot lately. He had greatly contributed to her leaving the H.I.V.E Five. Though, she had to admit, her life had been fairly boring since her departure.
She tossed the rose carelessly to the side. That rose was one of many that Kid Flash had left her, and, though she was flattered, she couldn't quite comprehend why. Wherever she went she brought bad luck, and she wasn't able to understand why he had shown such interest in her. The though left her flabbergasted.
There was a soft rapping on the brown door, and she sat up almost instantly. It was probably just the maid, but any sign of life in the place made her jump up excitedly. She glided over to the door and wrenched it open, she was circled by red-and-yellow entwined, but infront of her no-one stood.
She sighed. "What do you want?"
Though her tone of carelessness, she was actually thrilled to be contacted by someone with super-human ability. But she would never show any feeling of such. The red-yellow darts around her slowed then ceased movement, and Jinx stood facing Kid Flash.
"We need you," he said, flashing white in a kind smile.
"We?" Jinx repeated, lips pursed.
"The Titans," Kid Flash replied. "We."
"Oh, I'm sorry," Jinx said. "I didn't know, just because I did something somewhat decent, that I was automatically a Titan."
"What are you saying?" he asked. "You don't want to be a Titan? With Robin, and Starfire, and Cyborg, and Raven.. and me."
"And you?" Jinx chortled.
"Especially me," he grinned. "Come on, you know you want to."
"Okay," she said, arms folded across her body. "And what do I need to help you- us- Titans with?"
"There's a big fight," Kid Flash said. "Good verses Evil."
"And I'm supposed to fight under Good?"
"Of course," he smiled. "We fight alongside now."
