new story yea. to bad the characters dont belong to me. o well.

This fire was bad. I rushed up to the little girl and cradled her into my arms. She breathed in through the oxygen mask while the smoke was blackening all around. This was not good, not good at all. I made my way to the light in the corner. The guys had the ladder extended to its fullest to reach the window. I handed the girl to Jacob and she was taken down the ladder. As I stepped out of the window I heard an ear splinting scream. It was coming from one level up. I looked down to see Jacob and the girl headed over to the medics.

"Mike, raise the ladder to the next level." I talked into my wakie talkie.

"Bella, I can't get it any farther without it being extremely instable. Plus, it can't reach to the window." Mike explained from below

"God Damit Mike, JUST DO IT." I felt the ladder raise and wobble. I was about a meter away from the window when the ladder screeched to a stop.

"That is as far as it goes. The building is going Bella."

I heard the person scream again and I knew I had to save this person. On an impulse I jumped to the window. I snatched onto the ledge of the window and pulled myself up. I heard screams from below and people yelling at me through my communication system, but I ignored it all. I once I steadied myself into the pitch black room I grabbed my light.

I looked around the room. Then I saw something move in the closet. I ran over and found a women curled up in the fetal position. I quickly grabbed her and headed for the window. The ladder was too far away and was wiggling like crazy.

"BELLA GET OUT OF THERE NOW. THIS PLACE IS GOING DOWN." I heard Captain Ben yell at me.

"Get the ladder down one level. I have a women with me." I told him.

I ran to the stairs and started to run down them. They were basically engulfed with flames but I ignore them. The floor was creaking and I knew I had barely enough time. I saw the window and one of my station men waiting for the girl. I gave him the girl and he headed down.

All I heard next was a huge boom and I knew the floor was going out from under me.

"Shit"

I crashed to the floor and felt an excruciating pain on my arm.

"BELLA CAN YOU HEAR ME. BELLA" I heard as I grabbed it to answer.

"the ladder, next floor window. Now this floor is going too." I answered.

I got up off the floor to see flames everywhere. I tried to find the window but couldn't find it anywhere. I was running low on oxygen and had about five minutes left. I ran as fast as I could to the door. I opened it to see I was surrounded by red. That's when I saw it, my escape. I ran for dear life feeling the heat when I went through the flames. There waiting was another person with open arms waiting for me. I quickly got out the window just as a heard a boom. The building turned to rubble. I ripped off my mask as soon as I got down the ladder. I looked around to see two fire trucks and men all around. The one closest to me shook my body.

All I could see was his almost emerald green eyes staring back at me. Then everything fizzled out to a black room.
