Ballon Swords

The family walked relaxed down the street. Off to dinner where they could have a nice family dinner. Percy had one arm around Annabeth, who had a slightly bulging stomach, and another has holding hands with his five year old son, Luke, while the three year old twins, Bianca and Charlie, ran around their parent's legs, giggling as they tried to catch one another.

Luke Castor Jackson had his mothers blond hair and gray eyes, though his personality was much like his fathers. At the moment he was grinning contently while telling his smiling parents about the pictures he had drew with Jake, C.C. And Phoebe that day in kindergarten.

Jake Tyson, and C.C. Ella Valdez were the children of Reyna and Leo Valdez. And Phoebe Cryssa Rodriguez, the proud daughter of Clarisse and Chris Rodriguez. The four of them were best friends, seeing they were the only five year olds in the family of demigod legacies.

His other two children, Bianca Oceana Jackson, and Charlie Malcolm Jackson were completely different in looks but mostly had the same personality. Bianca had black hair and gray eyes, and was the smart one, although she did have ADHD and tended to be more like her father when not in a serious situation. Right now there wasn't a lot of serious situations, as she was only three years old.

Charlie Malcolm Jackson had blond hair and sea-green eyes. He, like Bianca, was carefree at most. But knew, when there were rules, they needed to be followed. He too, had ADHD, but it wasn't as wild as his sister's.

The small family made its way to the restaurant, free of wars and monsters.

Inside the restaurant, they sat looking at their menus. The children at one side of the booth, Bianca constantly complaining about being squished between two smelly boys, and Percy and Annabeth on the other side.

When the waiter came, they ordered, and Percy smiled when his children complained about there not being any blue food. The meal arrived soon and they began eating, chatting with their children to keep them occupied.

In the middle of their talk about dolphins, a lady came over to their table. She had straight brown hair, and hazel eyes.

"I'm Laura," She said, smiling words the children, "Would you like some sort of shaped balloon?" She asked. Politely waiting as their children decided to have a 'Group Meeting' before they announced what they wanted as a balloon.

The came back from under the table, grinning and positioning themselves correctly before responding to Laura.

"We want three blue swords please!" They said at the exact same time. Percy and Annabeth looked at each other, grinning.

Laura smiled sweetly at them before fetching three blue balloons and transferring them into long glistening balloon swords.

On their way home, they decided to stop by Central Park. Percy and Annabeth sat down under a tree, like they used to when they were teenagers, and watched as their children scurried a small distance away and declared a challenge to the others. They moved in a circle before Charlie lunged, launching them all into a war of balloons. Percy and Annabeth watched from a distance, already telling the three would be excellent sword fighters.

They stayed there until sunset, when Charlie decided to fall asleep mid air. He dropped to the ground like a bag of flour. Percy, Bianca, Luke and Annabeth burst out laughing, enjoying the moment.

Helping Annabeth up, Percy made his way to Charlie and picked him up. Together the family made it's way back home. This time is a content silence instead of animated chatter and quiet giggling. But it didn't matter, because he loved his family either way, loud, or quiet. Because if he had learned anything in his life as a demigod was family is the most treasured thing in life, and so with that thought in mind, he treasured them. His family, his wife, and his children.
