Disclaimer: I only own Siriah and her story, JKR owns everything else.
This is a reworking of my previous fanfiction of the same name on a different site.
Siriah, that was her name, Siriah Lewis. She wasn't anybody special at least nobody else seemed to think she was and that's how she liked it.
She was a witch but that wasn't special when you come from a wizarding family, where your sister is the golden girl of her house in the school, she was average, so average that she didn't seem to get noticed at all. Well that wasn't entirely true two of her professors noticed she was quite brilliant at potions & transfiguration and took advanced in both, not that her parents had noticed.
She wasn't very pretty, she was short, only 5"3', curvy, a round face, small button nose, small full lips, hazel-green eyes and long wavy ash blonde hair. Like I said before she was nothing special.
Sometimes she would wish that she had friends rather than acquaintances and that people would pay a little attention to her but it seemed whenever she did that it resulted in teasing, embarrassment and disappointment, so from the age of eleven she decided it would be best for the rest of her schooling that she keep her head down, blend into the tapestries at Hogwarts and stay nobody special, hidden in the shadows.
"Bye Mum, bye Dad." Siriah muttered as she walked away from her parents and towards the train. They didn't even respond they were far to busy fawning over her younger, beautiful, practically perfect slytherin sister.
Siriah found an empty compartment, put her things away and sat down. Over the summer she had figured out how to bewitch her cd player to work in the wizarding world. She put in her favourite cd, pulled out her book and settled in next to the window for the long journey hoping she would be lucky enough to have the compartment to herself.
No such luck she was joined by a ravenclaw girl in her sisters' year she knew as Luna Lovegood, many people (her sister Marigold for instance), called her Loopy Luna but Siriah on the other hand thought they were just scared of someone a bit more interesting than themselves. "Do you mind if I sit here, the people in the other compartments I tried were quite unwelcoming. Your sister Marigold is in my year isn't she?" Luna said in a dreamy sort of a voice.
Siriah took the headphones off one of her ears and replied "Sure have a seat, other people are overrated. Yep that's my sister I apologise if little miss perfect was rude to you. I hope you don't mind but I'd really like to finish my book before classes start tomorrow."
Luna smiled and took out a magazine "Oh I don't mind I've got my Quibbler to occupy me."
Once again Siriah settled in and hoped there would be no more interruptions.
