Skylands was a wondrous world filled with magic and mystery, both light and dark. Magic flowed through everything in Skylands, from every rock, tree and beast. It was also home to the Skylanders, who served as Skylands' greatest protectors.

As the sun started to rise it cast a light onto the large and small floating islands that were scattered throughout Skylands, each with its own world, inhabited by both normal and fantastic creatures.

The sun continued to rise, casting light onto a large citadel, this was Master Eonʼs citadel. Eon was known as the greatest among the Portal Masters. He had great knowledge over the history and realms of Skylands, he was also the leader of the Skylanders and had utmost faith in them.

Gill Grunt was sleeping peacefully, the Gillman stirred in his sleep, lazily opened one eye and looked at his calendar "Monday" he muttered. Gill Grunt knew it was his duty as a Skylander to protect Skylands, but just once he wished he could have just one Monday where he wasnʼt battling against Trolls, Chompies or that overconfident, selfish brat that called himself Kaos, but alas, Skylands wasnʼt going to protect itself. Gill Grunt got out of his bed and went to meet up with two certain heroes who were also his best friends.

Gill Grunt made his way to the living room to meet up with his two friends like he always did however, when he walked into the living room, he only saw one of his friends. Trigger Happy was looking directly at Gill Grunt, the gremlin looked furious, Gill Grunt flinched slightly, this wasnʼt like Trigger Happy at all, Trigger Happy was usually, well, there werenʼt many words to describe Trigger Happy but he wasnʼt usually the type to get angry.

"Uh, Trigg?" Gill Grunt said slowly "This town ainʼt big enough for the two of us" Trigger Happy said in a low tone earning a groan from the Gillman, he shouldʼve known that Trigger Happy was up to his usual random antics. Gill Grunt watched as Trigger Happy pulled out his two golden pistols from behind his back and shot several gold coins at a propped up pillow to his left, the Gremlin then ran over to the fallen pillow, picked it up, and asked it "Do you feel lucky, punk?". Gill Grunt then noticed something that he considered strange, besides Trigger Happyʼs crazy antics, Spyro wasnʼt in the living room and if he was, he mustʼve had some insane hiding skills because there werenʼt many good hiding places in the room, Spyro was usually the first of three to be there, Gill Grunt couldnʼt remember the last time heʼd entered the living room without seeing both Spyro and Trigger Happy there, It seemed like a small difference but Spyro took being a Skylander very seriously, in fact, Master Eon trusted Spyro enough for the Dragon to be second-in-command to lead the Skylanders whenever he wasnʼt there to guide them, It just seemed odd. "Trigg, have you seen Spyro?" Gill Grunt asked the gremlin who was now punching the pillow with all his might, Trigger Happy looked at Gill Grunt innocently "Yeah, heʼs a purple Dragon with bronze horns and-" Gill Grunt cut the gremlin off "No, I mean has he been down here today?" the Gillman asked slightly agitated "Nope!" Trigger Happy said giddily "Well, I better go see where he is" Gill Grunt said "Heʼll have a heart attack if heʼs late for Master Eonʼs meeting" and with that, Gill Grunt left Trigger Happy to apologise repeatedly to the pillow.

Gill Grunt made his way to Spyroʼs room, he knocked on the door expecting Spyro to respond with something like 'Just a minuteʼ or 'Iʼll be down in a secondʼ however, he didnʼt get any kind of response, so Gill Grunt did what he thought was the polite thing to do, barge into Spyroʼs room and shake him awake.

When Gill Grunt entered Spyroʼs room, he saw the Dragon curled up into a ball, sleeping peacefully. Gill Grunt was about to shake Spyro to wake him up, until he noticed that Spyro had started to toss and turn in his sleep, Gill Grunt could only assume that the Dragon was having a nightmare suddenly, Trigger Happy appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, beside Gill Grunt, who had to stop himself from letting out a surprised yelp. Trigger Happy looked at Spyro slightly confused "Spyro gets scared?" he said "Apparently" Gill Grunt replied, still looking at Spyro who was breathing heavily, the Gillman had to admit, it was strange seeing the dragon like this, Spyro was usually the first to leap into action and had faced enemies that most Skylanders would consider terrifying without a problem "What do you think heʼs dreaming about?" Trigger Happy asked "Your guess is as good as mine" Gill Grunt said with a shrug "We should probably leave him alone" Trigger Happy nodded in agreement, there was a long silence, then Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy both started to shake Spyro to wake him up.

"What?" Spyro mumbled as he buried his head into his paws "Are you getting up?" Gill Grunt asked "Yeah, just a sec" Spyro said, still not opening his eyes, there was a long silence, "Itʼs quarter to twelve" Gill Grunt said "OK" Spyro replied, while yawning "And Eonʼs meeting is at twelve" the Gillman added Spyroʼs head shot up "What?!" the dragon said in disbelief "I was going to wake you up sooner, but-" Gill Grunt stopped himself from telling Spyro about his nightmare, he had a feeling that the Dragon didnʼt need any extra awkwardness in his life. Spyro jumped off of his bed, only to sit down afterwards, Gill Grunt was confused at this "Shouldnʼt we hurry?" he asked "J-Just a sec" Spyro stammered, Spyro shook his head trying to clear the dizziness that had come over him, a few seconds passed and Spyro ran out of the room, Gill Grunt and Trigger Happy followed him, not wanting to be late for the important meeting.
