Hey, guys! I know it's been super long since I've updated and you probably
thought that my muse disappeared or this story is a goner, doomed
to be unfinished. But actually neither of those things are the case.
I had intended to come back to this
story and finish up with Carissa's POV as well as oneshot side pieces
within the AU verse of Inside Out I've created! There's just one problem...
and I've been reluctant to discuss this properly, especially because I
hate confrontation, or starting drama of sorts. I will not be mentioning
names or usernames, but there is another writer on this site, who also
writes Inside Out fanfiction, very blatantly copied A LOT of my story.
Though OC character names were changed, and words were slightly altered, trust
me when I say, if I did a side by side comparison, you would very much see
that this person is copying my stories. And normally I wouldn't care so much,
especially if they would be willing to say 'hey! this fanfiction I'm writing
is actually inspired my LittlePancake's stories on here which you guys should
check out!' but the thing is, it does bother me, and to be honest, it really makes
me reluctant to continue writing these fanfictions that I so dearly adore writing.
Because I'm honestly afraid that if I keep writing them, this person will keep
copying the gist of each chapter I write to add to their stories. And watching
other readers praise their work when it's so CLEARLY an altered version of my work,
it's...off putting. I want to keep writing for you guys, I really do. And if enough
people tell me they still want to continue reading my pieces? Then I'll definitely
consider this. Because I haven't lost my muse OR my will to write. Not one little
bit. I love these characters, canon and oc's included. And I'm sorry for the delay
and I'm sorry for taking so long to give you guys the explanation for my absence.
But I really do truly hope you guys will understand. I'm unsure of what to do. If
any of you have any advice for me, that would be much appreciated. And if you want
me to keep writing, I'll surely do my best. And thank you so so much for being so
patient. It means the world to me.
