Childhood memories
Other's are full of laughter
Family
Love
Mine are full of lies

'But I heard something in there.' I whined while my dad searched the large closet for the fifth time.
'I told you Ciel, there's nothing in there.' He sighed as he walked out
'How do you know?' I challenged.
My father chuckled and knelt, looking straight into my eyes.
'Ciel let me tell you a secret,' I clutched my bear closer and leaned in, always eager to hear a good secret. Dad told the best ones.
'There are no such things as demons.' He whispered into my ear.
I gasped, 'Then what about the stories mommy tells me? Aren't there demons in there?'
'Those are made up Ciel.' I gasped again, amazed by this new information.
Think again dad I won't be here if there were no such things as demons

'Mom! It's my birthday tomorrow!' I cried as I ran towards her.
'I know sweetheart, and it's going to be the best day ever right?'
I had nodded my head eagerly trusting her completely
My birthday, the best day of my life?
My eyes widened before they were forced closed by the black smoke.
'Mom! Dad!' I shouted as I ran down the halls, barely recognizable as the fire burned everything into black ash.
'Dad!' I stopped abruptly as another wave of heat hit me.
Then I saw it.
Dad's hand, resting on the arm of his chair, the family ring still shining brightly as if its master hadn't just burned to death.
The skin was dry and crackled, the once smooth, white hand that storke my head no longer there.
Behind I faintly saw a figure standing next to my father, its wings spread open
Then came the so called comforts
'Your father couldn't help it Ciel'
'They're in a better place'
'Things will get better'
I know that my father knew that it was going to happen.
Tanaka's diary proves it.
He led me on, believing that they would stay forever.
Knowing his fate and still making ridiculous promises.
'It will be the best birthday ever'
'The whole family are going to be there'
'We promise'
...
'We love you'
Lies.
