Chapter 1

Important. Please read.

So This is my first fanfiction that i actually put online.

English isn't my first language so i apologize for any annoying mistakes.

Since Titanfall is a bit vague about its world i use my personal headcanon.

I believe that Pilots are enhanced with nanomachines. That would explain why they don't take any fall damage, why they can kick and punch someone so hard they get send flying and why they can regenerate so fast. When Jack was hurt in the beginning of Titanfall 2 Captain Lastimosa injected him with something. I believe that there were nanobots in that syringe.

Also i am aging jack cooper down quite a bit. In the game he appears to be in his mid to late 30s in this story he is Just 21. I did it so things won't be so weird when it comes to character interaction.

Year 2524, Planet Typhon, IMC facility Titanfall Universe

They had to destroy the Fold Weapon from the inside. That is what Commander Briggs told them. "Commander Briggs, I believe i have a solution" said BT "In its exposed state, my reactor core may be able to destabilize the Ark at the center of the Fold Weapon".

He is going to sacrifice himself i thought to myself and that thought terrified me. I have only known him for a short time but in that short time we defeated so many enemies together , among them extremely experienced Pilots .He has really grown on me. I don't want to lose him.

But i know that we have to destroy the Fold Weapon . If we don't , billions will die at the hands of the IMC.

"We can blow it up. I'm sending you coordinates for a dropship rendezvous." said Bt to Commander Briggs. To which she promptly answered "Coordinates received. We'll be there , but i don't see how you can".

A feeling of dread began to overtake me as we neared the shaft that lead to the core of the Fold Weapon . He is probably going to try to throw me away from him. I realize.

" Trust me. I have done the math" replied BT to the commander. Shortly after saying those words he jumped into the shaft.

Seconds before colliding with the core Bt opens the cockpit and just as he was about to throw me away from him ,a stray Anti-Air round hits him. As a result i am thrown towards the core instead of away from it.

Everything seemed in slow motion for me. The Blue Ball of energy comes closer and closer. I hear a explosion behind me and feel a shock wave that propels me directly into the Ark.

'We did it Buddy' that was the last though that entered my mind before i fell unconscious .

Year 2014 , Planet Earth, Tokyo. Tokyo Ghoul Universe

I wake up to a strong feeling of wind against my body. I open my Eyes. 'Holy Shit' I realize i am falling and nearing the Ground fast. I must have been 60 meters high. I quickly angle my feet towards the ground.

"Fuck" i exclaimed while hitting the ground. Fully expecting to break something.

'Man' i think to myself 'i really should be used to the enhancements that come from being a Pilot by now'.

I was, of course ,uninjured. I have gone through way worse falls than that.

I look up fully expecting to still somehow be in the IMC facility. But this doesn't look like the facility i was at just moments before . In Fact it looks more like a city and wasn't it day outside just moments ago ?

I can't be on Typhon anymore. There are no cities on that planet. The Ark must have taken me somewhere.

"But if i am not on Typhon" i mumble to myself " Then where the Fuck am i".

'I am in an alley. But that doesn't really answer the question.'

'Ok , i have no idea where i am. So i should probably try to contact the Militia . They may have an Outpost on this Planet'

I can't find any Militia outpost nearby, or even an IMC outpost.

'That can't be right' i think to myself 'There has to be an outpost somewhere'

After not finding anything. I decide to open an Encrypted Militia Channel. Maybe there is a base here it's just top secret and hard to located because of that.

"This is Pilot Jack Cooper of the Militia. Do you read me?" I repeated the Message a few times but no answer came.

'Well shit looks like i am stranded here, at least for the moment. I guess i have to figure out where i am by myself.'

Looking at the city. I noticed that all signs in the alley were in Japanese.

That is interesting but it is not going to be a problem. The colony i grew up in made japanese mandatory to learn alongside of english.

'Never really needed it and only spoke to friends in japanese but now it seems to be useful' i thought to myself.

'Before i do anything else' i thought 'I should check my equipment'

'Volt - check, Kraber - check , Charge Rifle- check, Firestar- check , Jumpkit - check and finally my invisibility cloak seems to also work. Good thing that most of my weapons are energy based , for them i only have to find a strong enough electricity source and than i can recharge them.

The Kraber is going to be a problem though , I only have a few Magazines left.'

'I should probably leave but going through the streets seems like a bad idea, considering all the weapons i am carrying. I think the best course of action would be to walk over the roof for the time being'

I fire up my Jumpkit and start wallrunning , i then double jump to the wall on the other side of the alley and double jump again one last time to land on the roof of one of the buildings 15 meters up. This only took about 2 seconds.

As the glowing skyline of the city revealed itself to me, i realized that said city is bigger than i anticipated. ' Might as well do some exploring' i thought to myself as i began to use my Jumpkit enhanced freerunning to get from roof to roof.

After sometime i heard something that sounded like an argument in some other alley.

'Might as well check that out.'

I decide to peek over the corner of the roof and what i saw shocked me quite a bit.

There were two dead bodies on the ground next to which some black haired terrified kid sat. And a purple haired girl and a blond boy are having an argument about feeding grounds or something.

The Blond guy claims that this was his feeding ground that was stolen from him and the girl says that he lost it because he was weak.

I realize that this was going to escalate into a fight. I was thinking about stepping in when there Eyes turned Black and Red and they started running at each other with insane speeds.

I saw that the girl dodged the guys attack and hit him in a lot of places in quick succession.

It at first looks like nothing happened but it didn't take long for a dozen or so cuts to appear on the guys body. After that quickly he took of.

What caught me of guard again, was when the girl told the guy behind her back to take the body. After he didn't reply and instead started to hyperventilate the Girl turns around and ripped the arm of one dead guy and offers it to the black haired guy. Who first reaches for the torn of arm but restrains his hand with his other hand.

'The Fuck did i walk into' is all i could think.

The Girl suddenly recognizes the guy and ask why he hasn't been eaten by someone called Rize or something.

At this point the guy is just lying on the ground and rambling about how he is Human.

'So these things aren't human and it seems like they need to eat human flesh or else he wouldn't be acting like he is. Apparently it also isn't normal to have a human turn into these things. What a fucked up Planet am i on?'

As i continue to watch the scene in front of me. I see the purple haired girl walk over to the corpse and tear some chunk out of it. Before i can think about it she shoves the peace of human meat into the guys mouth and makes him swallow it.

"Just what the fuck did i walk into?" i say out loud by accident.

She immediately turns around and stares at me. My blue glowing suit obviously doesn't help me conceal myself.

"Who are you ,what do you want!?" she yells at me.

When she realizes that i am about to start running and get the hell out of there ,she materializes something that looks vaguely like a red crystallize wing on her left shoulder.

As i was turning around she quickly climbed on the building ,almost as fast as a pilot.

'I should probably get the hell out of here'

"What are you some kind of Cosplayer ? Sorry but i can't let you tell the CCG about us?"

"What the hell is the CCG?" is my reply while i start running.

She suddenly starts shooting some kind of crystals from her Wing at me. I manage to doge most by running in unpredictable patterns but i suddenly get hit by one in the back.

I keep on running and begin to speed up more and more. I use my Jumpkit to its full potential and start wallrunning and sliding till i hit 50 Km H. While doing that i activate my invisibility cloak.

The Wound on my back quickly closes because of my sped up healing that comes from being a Pilot. 'Ah fuck that hurt'.

She stopped following me after she realized how fast i was going but i kept that speed for about a minute just to be sure.

After some time thinking about the encounter and after thinking about some possible attack strategies against these Creatures, i decided to search for an abandoned house or something to have a place to sleep.

After some time i found an Abandoned Warehouse and decided to just sleep there for the night.

Toka POV:

'What an naive idiot, he has to eat!' I think while shoving food down this kids throat.

'He puts more people at risk if he doesn't.'

Suddenly i hear a new voice say "Just what the fuck did i walk into?" from somewhere on a roof.

I quickly turn around and see someone crouching on a building, wearing some kind of futuristic gear thats has a blue glowing Helmet Visor.

I quickly activate my kagune and ask "Who are you ,what do you want!?".

When i see that he is about to turn around and start running of, i quickly scale the building.

Now on the Building, i can see the person better. He wears something that looks like futuristic body armor. And he wears a weird Helmet with a kind of cross shaped visor.

The weirdest thing is a device that is connected to his Waist with what looks like little jet engines attached to it.

'He must be some kind of Cosplayer, well too bad i can't let him know about us.'

"What are you some kind of Cosplayer ? Sorry but i can't let you tell the CCG about us?"

He replies with "What the hell is the CCG?" as he starts to run.

'He doesn't know what the CCG is ? That's probably just a trick'

I start to shoot some of my projectiles with my kagune at him . But he surprises me when he starts moving unpredictably and getting faster. The little jet engines on his back suddenly activate and help him run on walls. I managed to hit him once but he kept on running so fast that i can't keep up with him and then he just disappears.

'He definitely wasn't a Cosplayer , maybe he was a Ghoul'.

I was just about to leave when i suddenly see the shard that i shot at him out of the corner of my eye.

I walk over to it and pick it up.

There was some blood on it and it smelled definitely human.

'So he isn't a ghoul'

'I have to report this to the Manager'

'I should go back to that idiot first though, before he hurts himself'
