An old Christmas story that I dug up and forgot to post. Here ya go.

Tenten dragged herself into the ANBU office upset at that the world for making her wake up on such a cold dreary day. Why couldn't she have just died blissfully in her sleep? She looked up at the office and blinked twice. Instead of the desks and chairs for the ninja that usually crowded the immense room, there was a punch bowl and lots of evergreen hanging from the ceiling. There was food and one large table full of gifts wrapped in every imaginable paper.
People were clustered around in different groups, unsure of what to think of the change. She spotted Neji sitting uncomfortably at the other end of the room with his arms crossed, surrounded by what looked like fake snow and cheerful penguins with red hats on. He looked ill at ease with a frown on his face that very much contrasted to the gleeful beaks and shining eyes of the statues beside him.
"What the heck is going on?"
"Lee had coffee this morning. He's been bouncing around the office exclaiming the glory of some country's winter festival." He looked very put-upon. "You better start running interference before Tsunade gets here."
Tenten threw him a dirty look. "Why can't you run interference? You're his teammate too, and would get in just as much trouble if Tsunade finds out."
"TENTEN! YOSH! Oh Youthful Friend! Have you heard?! A Christmas festival where the main color's are red and green! They like green too and they symbolize the year with a big jolly man and I found out today is the eve of this most glorious day to celebrate the year. AND look-at-THIS!" He flounced over to them never taking a breath and leaving paper snowflakes in his wake.
He held up a leaf.
"It's a leaf." Neji depanned.
"It's not JUST a leaf, My Close Minded Rival! They symbolize their love with a leaf and it is great because Konoha is a leaf, and we love Konoha too! It's amazing, we should celebrate every day!" Tenten shook her head and tried to follow the line of the conversation. Before she knew it he placed the leaf between them. Then just as quickly he pecked her on the cheek.
"LEE! What was that for?!" Her cheeks blossomed into a red almost as intense as Lee's hat.
He didn't look guilty at all. "Tenten it is custom, you must use the leaf to kiss the ones you love on this Beautiful Green Holiday! The leaf holds this power over the holiday!" He then attempted to kiss Neji on the cheek as well, with less success.
"Lee, no."
"Neji! The power of the leaf compels you!"
He narrowed his eyes and backed up against penguin, slipping on fake snow and barely avoiding the anamatronic fat man in a red suit that moved his arms up and down. "Lee, so help me…"
As Lee and Neji destroyed the penguin forest, there was a moment that Tenten forgot about how much work it was going to be to put the room back together and to pry the evergreens from Lee's Joyful! hands, she forgot about how much trouble her team was going to be in within the next couple of hours, and realized that she was really glad she didn't die this morning in blissful sleep. Sure it was warm and nice under the covers, but these people were the reasons that she did get up everyday, even winter holidays.
Neji had finally escaped Lee and recovering his dignity was stomping over to her. "Tell him to take care of this mess NOW. He only listens to you."
She scooped up a handful of fake snow and blew it in his face. "Chill out Neji, its Christmas Eve."
