Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter, Hermione, Harry, Hogwarts, the library, the lake, the sun (or the moon and the stars), or anything else. Right?
This is really short, but I hope you like it! It's kind of depressing, I know, but I just wanted to write something more today and so I did this! Here it is!
Hermione Granger sat in the library, not reading anything. Very few people were there, but the few that were didn't look too engrossed in their books, either. Right then, the would was too hard even to bury your thoughts in a book.
"Hey," Harry said, sitting down next to her.
Hermione was thoroughly surprised, but she managed a small smile. "Hey. What's going on? I mean, is everyone outside of the library just standing around and whispering and looking horrified?"
Harry smiled slightly, too. "Yeah, pretty much. Some of them are outside, because it's so warm. I think that's where Ron is, but I can't find him."
"Yeah, he is," Hermione said. "I just thought I'd come here though. Not that I really want to read."
Harry pretended to look amazed. "You? Not wanting to read?"
Hermione laughed, but it wasn't light. "Harry-I can't-I mean, this is horrible."
Harry didn't answer, but Hermione felt like she had to continue. "He's back, Harry, and everyone is scared, and how are we going to get on? What are we going to do?"
There was a long silence, then Harry turned to look at Hermione. She wiped her tears away, he hugged her. "We're going to fight, Hermione," he said softly, so only she could hear. "And we're going to win."
Hermione smiled. She wished, deep in her heart, she could be reassured by this, but the truth was, she was still afraid. Fear wasn't all bad, that she knew, but she wanted to know she could do this. She wanted to feel strong.
"Hermione, I mean it," Harry said. She knew he was understanding her. "We can do this."
Hermione looked out the window, then turned back to Harry. "Together," she said. "We're gonna do this all together. Fight You-Know-Who. Isn't that right?"
Harry stood up. "Yep, that's right. C'mon, Hermione, let's go outside. I'm sick of avoiding the sun. Let's go for a walk and sit by the lake."
Hermione nodded, and stood up, too. Wiping away her final tears, she grabbed Harry's hand. "Let's do this, Harry," she said.
As everyone stared, they matched straight for the doors to outside, where it was sunny and warm. Outside, where the sun shone. Because right then, they needed a little bit of sunshine.
Did you like it? I hope so! Please review!
I actually love cold and rain note then sun, personally, but sun always sounds so much better! And rain rain would be weird... So that's why it's about sun, if you wondered. You probably didn't.
Linley =)
