I was traveling by the train. I was traveling alone, which probably isn't smart for a young girl of fifteen years old. Everyone else in the train car didn't sitting anywhere near me, which is fine, I wasn't in a chatty mood in the first place. I stared out the window, looking at the passing landscape.

I was on my way to central because I heard about a young alchemist protegee that was the government's dog by the name of Edward, The Fullmetal Alchemist. He and his brother had the same teacher as me, Izumi Curtis. Strangely enough, after I left her training, I committed the taboo wanting to resurrect my elder brother. I lost my left arm. I happened across a girl named Winry who replaced my missing arm with automail. I returned to my Sensei a year later. i would not waste three years of my life rehabilitating my new arm. Sensei was made at me, of course, yet she forgave me because she went through a similar crisis herself. That's when she told me about Ed and Al. They wanted to get there original bodies back, so did I.

I might be getting ahead of myself. My name is Jazmyn. I have long black hair that I tie back, yet my bangs still hang in my face, so I figured out a way to part it. My eyes were a different matter entirely. they were red, even though my skin was pale. Really pale, almost white pale which is strange since I'm usually outside in the sun. I don't know about my family other than my brother. He had light brown hair and blue eyes. As far as we knew, we didn't have Ishvalen blood, but our parents died while we were young. He died when he was sixteen. I was ten at the time.

The landscape soon changed to buildings and city streets. The train stopped at the station. I got off. The smell was different. The air was different. It was busier. I smiled. Now I just need a place to stay. I pulled out my wallet, just to realize I'm short on cash. Well...great. I guess I'll crash at the library. Now, where is that?

This journey won't begin until I take my first steps outside of this station. I stepped out into the sun as I left the station. i searched for the library by walking down random streets. I found it, but it was under construction because it had burned down. I found a small bookstore instead. I started resetting the shelves and the owner hired me on the spot. I told him I didn't have a place to stay, I wasn't going to stay in the city for a long period of time in the first place, and that I was only rearranging the shelves because the way it was bothered me.

He didn't care, said he'd pay me, and that I could stay with him and his family as long as needed. I accepted. I could look for Ed and Al tomorrow. It's almost dusk as it was.
