Torchwood Five – Australia
The construction of Torchwood Five began in 2000 when a fault line in the rift was discovered about Sydney. Although nothing was coming threw it was agreed that a facility should be built to monitor it. Gabriel James was put in charge of the new Torchwood facility, monitoring the fault. The new facility wasn't even finished construction when a problem in Torchwood Three during 2006 opened the Cardiff rift, fracturing it across the world. The Sydney fault was opened and after Torchwood Three managed to close the rift the Sydney rift stayed open. Things began to drift threw the rift, ending up in Sydney and James realized that Torchwood Five would need to be opened.
With the help of Torchwood Three, Torchwood Sydney was opened on the 1st of January 2008 under the command of Idris Hopper. Slowly Idris is building up a team to protect the city.

Ianto Jones of Torchwood Three is living in Sydney, helping set up the new facility and teaching the team what they will need to work on their own.
