In dedication to my mother's late friend, Ate Norma. Rest in peace.
A melancholy feeling disturbed the air as she walked forward. Nothing at the moment mattered to her but the path in front of her. The silence of death wavered inside of her and her golden eyes lost its color. All of the memories were gone and scattered like an angel's wings losing its feathers. Every step was painful as it struck each nerve she had but the tears didn't dare spill out.
Stepping closer, she remembered a distant memory that still lingered in the back of her mind. Placing her hand on her heart, she exhaled and thought of the way her dreams were strong no matter what happened. It was the words of trust that kept her going, breathing, living.
"I trust you..."
Halfway meeting with death, the darkness tried to consume her but she was a walking piece of heaven's touch. Her presence was needed on Earth for she brought light to everyone around her. She didn't know why but she felt that it was her duty to save dreams and the people around her.
She finally met her nightmare and stared down at the casket in front of her. Her lips trembled and her hand reached out to brush the surface. Everyone around her disappeared at that moment and she mumbled a few words underneath her breath. Was it real?
"Ma... ma..." she whispered.
Her empty eyes gazed down to see her mother resting peacefully inside of the casket. She stopped breathing for a second to bask in her mother's beauty. Nothing made sense at that moment. Everything was irrelevant and for once, she felt weak. There was nothing she could do to bring back the person who brought her into this world.
"Why?" Amu asked.
She knew her time was up with her mother because others were waiting to see her too. Amu softly closed her eyes as a few tears escaped. She didn't want to let go but she had no choice but to do so. Her love for her mother was neverending but life was different without her.
It was too early. Why did you leave? My dearest, my mother... I still need you because I'm still your little girl.
"I love you."
