This is How It Hurts
Chapter 1
Elena taped her fingers at the bar waiting for Bonnie Bennett to show up. After all these years they were finally going to talk this whole thing out. She wasn't sure if she was ready for it, but she was going to sit here for as long as she could to fix things between her and Bonnie. Things had ended badly for them and Elena finally wanted to fix it. She missed her best friend and she wanted her back. She hoped that they could fix things. If not she didn't know what she would do.
Elena exhaled as the bar doors opened and she saw Bonnie walk through. She had cut her hair a bit shorter, but she still looked like the same old Bonnie Bennett that she knew back than. Their eyes met from across the room and Bonnie walked towards her. Here it was the moment of truth.
She stood up to meet Bonnie as she extended her arms out hoping for a hug but instead was met with a slap instead. Her face stung as she put her hand to the place where Bonnie had just slapped her. What the hell? Elena knew she had screwed up big time, but she never knew that that would happen.
"What the hell?" Elena said looking at Bonnie.
"You know what that was for. Now are we going to talk or not."
Elena sighed as she sat down and they talked through their story from the very beginning.
