"Miss Lyra?" the small, wrinkled house elf Slinky asked uncertainly, with Lyra, you never knew when she would smile at you or slap you, she was that unpredictable "Miss Lyra?" she remained staring through the window, unmoving "Miss Lyra?" Slinky asked for the third time, she mumbled something quietly "Miss Lyra…."
"SHUT UP…" she kicked the small fragile house elf away.
"Miss Lyra? Slinky just wanted to give you these" Slinky held a large silver tray towards Lyra. The tray held a dish of strawberries, a bundle of sympathy flowers, expensive perfume and a small wrapped present.
"What is it?" she spat.
"Your mother sent it Miss Lyra" Slinky told her.
"Put it in the bin!"
"Are you sure Miss Lyra?"
"Yes! Just put it in the bin Slinky!"
"Are you sure Miss Lyra?"
"Slinky! Put it in the bin before I push you down the stairs!" Slinky crept out of the room, when he reached the bottom of the stairs; he put the wrapped square present and perfume in Lyra's trunk, he put the flowers in a vase with water and put the strawberries in the fridge.
Slinky began making some lunch for Miss Lyra, he took the strawberries from the fridge chopped them up along with a mango, a pineapple, an apple and an orange before mixing them into pomegranate juice and pouring some into a bowl.
He disappeared from the kitchen with a small pop, he reappeared in Lyra's room, the only difference was that Lyra's small black cat, Shadow.
Shadow hissed at the arrival of Slinky "Miss Lyra?"
"GET OUT"
