Preface
When so much time has past without large inconveniences, you start to think everything will always be like that and the world has finally found peace. Well, I've been thinking that for so long, this was the last thing I or Alice saw coming.
Life's been so great to me since I met Edward, and even better since Renesmee was born. Its difficult to know that it's all going to be over in a few minutes. All the other tribulations Edward and I have survived through were nothing compared to this. Not even when the Vuluri tried to slaughter my daughter and everyone who dared defend her. I thought we were going to loose then, everyone did. With us all thinking Alice abandoned us, the Vulturi had nothing to expect, as we did too. Luckily, she showed up and saved us all, but there is no saving any of us now. Everything's changed, and there is no going back. Only going forward.
As I walked into the dark alley, I let my mind flip through my past years with Edward by my side, when he really was the Edward I knew and loved.
