disclaimer: I do not own the works of Rowling or Gaiman.
author's note: because it has yet to be done. I've always felt sad for Delirium and Snape, but they are not really meant to be close friends.

The dog at her feet looked up at him while trying to wear the sombrero with some semblance of dignity. "I could show you how to fold marshmallows into origami radio-turtles and we could race them down the empty supermarket aisles. And then we could eat snozzberry wine. It would be fun."
"Lily is dead."
Death nodded sympathetically, rubbing his back.
"Yes," she replied. As an afterthought, she gave a sad smile. "I'm sorry."
"We could be friends." Delirium pleaded.
Severus looked up at her and shook his head.
"I think not."
He follows Despair out of the ruins, abandoning his shattered Delight.
