POWERS OF THE ELEMENTS

Personification of the 4 main elements. Teal'c; Wood, Jackson; Wind, Carter; Water, O'Neill; fire.

The powers of the elements always seem to follow SG1. It was an aura about them that seemed natural like they just fit together like a glove or like the harmony of the universe colliding together to create something so benevolent it couldn't be understood or seen by natural means.

Teal'c was earth. He was the solid rock of the group. Ironic, isn't it? That he's earth and he's the one that's not from this planet? He keeps the group together. When Carter needs comfort, Teal'c is always there to give her a much needed hug. When Daniel needs help translating, he's always there to assist. When Jack needs to talk about military strategies, he's there. He keeps the group steady and rooted in the ground beneath their feet. He is quick and steady he builds forts about his heart and soul in order to protect-his first instinct. He knows when to talk and when to be quiet but He's usually quiet. But he's always there.

Daniel is as fleeting as the wind. Granting wisdom beyond his years and always trying to understand what should be beyond him. He will always believe that the best in people will always prevail. But when it doesn't, he's not afraid to instill terror in his enemies. His boyish face and bright blue innocent eyes will earn him the hearts of many women, but his heart is true. He jumps the gun more often then he'd care to admit, but like a hurricane he can be strong and the full force of his power will leave many dead in his passing. But other times, he is as gentle as the summer breeze. Perhaps even gentler.

Samantha Carter is as cold and cool as the deep ocean blue. Her eyes are piercing, open and honest. There was an aura about her that made everyone want to do her bidding. She had her friends wrapped around her pinky finger, but is always too humble to notice. Like the ocean, she had many wonders girded about her features. Her stamina came over the course of many years of hard training. Her knowledge came from an accumulation of lying in slumber. She travelled across many distances, alongside her fellow team mates, but in reality she was rooted in one place. Her heart, large enough to cover an entire planet with its tides could drown everyone caught in the middle. Everything was hidden from plain sight. Men had to dive a little deeper to know her, but once they did, they couldn't get enough.

Jack O'Neill is the living soul and fire. He is not afraid to kindle love in his heart for even the smallest child or sweetest women, for he did leave many in his wake. He was not afraid to add fuel to the fire and watch it grow. He wasn't afraid to jump into a fiery furnace and watch the fire consume him. The pain hurt, but he knew that there were many things that hurt more. He was like smoke, so elusive and dangerous but inviting. One moment, he was like a small campfire, keeping morale, smiling and dancing, but very quickly he could become like a wildfire. Something that could eat whole forests and make even the tamest of creatures rampant. His brown orbs, forged in the fire.

And only one can put out the flames.
