I wrote this for my journal in english class. Rated T for Zelda bashing and suggestive themes.

Disclaimer: I don't own the Legend of Zelda. If I did, Ghirahim would have Link all to himself ;)

Bitter Desires

Ghirahim hummed softly as he lay in the tall grass of the Faron Woods. He had the girl. Soon, he could perform the ritual that would bring his master into the world. He smiled up at the clear sky, but narrowed his eyes slightly as his thoughts trailed on. His plan was almost complete, and yet...something wasn't quite right.

Ghirahim plucked a small purple flower off the ground and stared at it. The flower was beautiful, but tiny; it was insignificant compared to almost everything around it. Just like how almost everything was insignificant to him. Except for one thing. Link, the Chosen Hero.

Ghirahim growled and crushed the flower in his palm, its tiny remains flowing into the wind as he turned on his side. The Skyloftian would definitely try to save the girl. He could throw the meanest, most vicious creature ever created at the boy, and he would still try to find a way to save that defenceless woman. The Sky child is extremely loyal to his friends, but the lengths he'll go to for that disgusting sacrifice are simply baffling.

It made Ghirahim think that they were a couple, yet that didn't sit quite right with him. Link is fated to protect Zelda, but he and Ghirahim were bound by a thread of fate. That knowledge made Ghirahim smile, but it turned into a bitter smirk quickly. He realized that Link would only glare at him briefly, before hurrying after the ungrateful maiden. He would have to change that. And Ghirahim knew how he would do it.

He wanted to break the Sky child, little by little in mind and body. He wanted Link to suffer, his mind being shredded as his body received far better care. He would break him from the inside out, showing him distorted kindness. Ghirahim would play with his mind. His harsh and cold words would make Link angry and defiant, but he would treat him softly on the outside. He would make the boy beg for more as his mind begged for freedom. Ghirahim would also show him harshness. He would tear at and torture the boy while he whispered sweet nothings into his ear. Slicing into his soft skin and beating the pale boy till he was black and blue before softly kissing his cheek and tending to his wounds would break his spirit.

It would show Link that Ghirahim always comes out on top. Ghirahim would turn the strong-willed hero of the Goddess into a broken shell. And that broken shell will one day seek the Demon Lord Ghirahim, not the wretched maiden, on its own.
