I don't understand the question. Do I think Hawkeye and Trapper John ever what.
Oh. Oh. No. No, I don't think so. No. Hawkeye really likes women, and they tell me Trapper was married.
Look, I haven't been here that long, and I don't want to cast aspersions on anyone's character.
You might, I suppose you might…No, I see how you got to the question, though. I guess I can see why you ask.
There's a certain sharpness of Hawkeye's regard, that once seen, I don't think can ever be forgotten. It's in how he looks at nurses when he's really interested. It's hungry and…to be honest, it's a little bit frightening. Well, you've known him longer than I have, I'm sure you've seen him flirt with nurses before. He looks at them like that, he looks away, but they follow him. Like lambs to the slaughter. I don't – ha, I don't mean like he has bad intentions…I'm trying to say that there's an intensity there that's, ah, compelling. There's a depth there that suggests that he already knows you, not just knows you but understands you. He looks away, and the look is gone, but you sense a certain blankness beneath Hawkeye's eyes, like some ephemeral but fundamental part of his nature is slumbering.
I don't – aha ha, I don't know what I'm talking about. Can I get another drink?

I don't really know what my point was. Just that sometimes he looks over at my side of the Swamp with that particular look. He's not looking at me, though. Sometimes he makes these flirtatious remarks, and I get the impression that he really means them. But he doesn't mean them for me. Does that make any sense?
Hawkeye's been mad for a week because Trapper left without leaving a note. Okay, hypothetically, you're leaving your friend behind, do you take half a minute to scribble something down? What if you're leaving your something else to go back to your wife?
I don't mean to…I don't want to spread rumors. Hawkeye's a good guy. I don't think you have to worry about him, if that's what you're asking. He's a good guy.
But Hawkeye and Trapper? I really couldn't say.
