Title: A Moment

Entering the break room with assignments in hand, he felt her presence before he actually saw her. The hair at the nape of his neck stood at attention as if greeting Sara good day. He stopped in the doorway just to relish, uninterrupted in her beauty for a moment.
She sat with her legs crossed and her nose in a magazine. Unable to read the title from where he stood, he guessed it was work related. With her left leg dangling over her right knee he could just make out the skin under her pant leg which had risen slightly.
Smooth and shiny he wondered briefly what kind of lotion she used on her legs and what it would taste like as he trailed his tongue over them. His eyes jerked up to her face as she started swinging her dangling leg, but she was still reading, unaware of his attention.
His eyes drifted down to her hands which were so gracefully holding the magazine. Her fingers long and gently tapered made a trip every so often to her mouth. Her tongue darting out to wet them so they could return again to flip a page. How he longed to be those fingers enjoying the wetness that muscle was sharing with them.
Lowering the magazine she rested it in her lap as one hand went to the seam on her jeans she began absently running her middle finger along its ridge. His breathing increased as he witnessed her tease the fabric along the length of her upper leg.
He watched as her other hand rose to her face and tucked a stray lock behind her ear exposing a flawless check and her deep red lips which hid that wonderful gap which seemed to embarrass her slightly at times.
Her long neck now clearly visible and calling to him, begging him to explore it more closely with his mouth. To run his lips from her collarbone up to her earlobe; leaving a wet trail to attract the coolness of the air. He could almost see the goose bumps that would form there because of it.
Too caught up in his daydream, he didn't sense Catherine blowing down the hall until she bounced off his back after running almost full speed into him. Jerking him out of his reverie, his face flushed crimson knowing he was about to get an earful from Catherine.
"Gees Gil, what the heck were you doing? I could have killed you while you were lurking there in the doorway."
Ignoring Catherine and embarrassed by his weakness he turned away from Sara; as was his habit when his thoughts of her had become too dangerous, trying to stifle his arousal before it would be evident to all who were around him.
He mumbled something about reviewing the night's cases as he willed his body to calm down. When he finally turned back, he had once again lost her as she had the look of one who was empty, void of any feeling for him.
