As my latest song's lyrics were mainly inspired by my fellings regarding the Avengers, written after reading many fanfics, especially Civil War, I think they count as some kinda poetry. So here we are, enjoy, fans of poetry ~
.
Here we are, finally, eventually, breaking down
Sick of it, round for round, this game of thruth or dare
Guessing secretly what kind of ace could they have up their sleeve
Making sure that nobody can look in your cards
.
Does this come to an end now, this game of hide and seek?
All wanting to aid, but not wanting to be aided
Can we finally pretend not to have trust issues
And give each other the benefit of the doubt
.
We're breaking down all these walls, just to build them anew
Bipolarism, paranoia, ubiquitious
Not letting in, just shutting out, we will get ourselves killed
Life is a game, they used to say, we're on the losing side right now
.
Does this come to an end now, this game of hide and seek?
All wanting to aid, but not wanting to be aided
Can we finally pretend not to have trust issues
And give each other the benefit of the doubt
.
Cuz' we'll be caving in
If we pursue that road
There's no way we will win
Alone
As united we rise
And divided we fall
Forgive and Forget ain't not easy
But it's our only hope
.
Does this come to an end now, this game of hide and seek?
All wanting to aid, but not wanting to be aided
Can we finally pretend not to have trust issues
And give each other the benefit of the doubt
.
Oh, yea, if you liked the lyrics, I also have a half-crappy recording on YouTube, is ya wanna listen: /watch?v=xCJO5Od1mbU (just add to the YT url)
