It's so much easier to hate someone when they're not in front of you. When they are, they may be acting kindly and innocent, and then you have to concentrate on the reason why you hate them, because if you don't, you might forget.

So the pink haired diclonius looked at the other, the other that both was and wasn't as she should be. And the other noticed her gaze, and smiled happily, holding out some of the sweets she carried. She glowed with a strange childlike innocence.

And Nana found it to be true.

It truly was harder to hate someone when they're standing right in front of you.
