For the I Promise Competition – Luna Lovegood
The 1991 Challenge – Blaise Zabini / blue
The Title Challenge – By The Gate
Note: this is certainly not my best, but sadly, I'm very sick. Everything is probably OOC and there's a few SPaG mistakes, but I hope you like it (?)
Luna was skipping down the Greenhouses when she bumped into someone.
Turning around, she met beautiful green eyes that reminded her of the Dabberblimp. She tilted her head, but smiled when she recognized the person. It was a boy she had been friends with since forever.
"Hello, Blaise." Luna said with a wave of her hand.
Blaise looked at her and smiled for what seemed the first time since he got into Hogwarts. "Hello, Luna." He greeted.
Luna rolled her blue eyes and hit him playfully. "Don't be so stiff, Blaise. It's not like if we haven't meet each other before! You know what?"
The Slytherin wanted to know obviously, but he kept his curiosity at bay. "What?"
"What if," She said with a mysterious tone. "Nevermind," Luna smiled and turned her back on Blaise. He immediately reacted and turned her around.
"Will you tell me? I have other things to do." He said quickly.
She rolled her eyes but smiled. "Okay. What if I told you I can help you with that thing of yours?"
"What thing?" Blaise asked curiously.
"Oh, I can't tell you until after the sun rises," Luna said.
Blaise rolled his eyes at that. "You are still the same," He said with a smile. "Always a mysterious, vague witch. Let's see. How about we meet tomorrow as the sun rises by the gate? Then you'll tell me about that thing of mine I know nothing about."
Luna grinned and smiled quirkily. "I promise,"
The sun was rising when Blaise neared the gate to get into Hogwarts. Curiosity got the best of him, and he really wanted to know what the bloody hell Luna was talking about yesterday.
Looking around, he saw a glimpse of blonde hair at the right side of the gate. He jogged until he reached the old gate.
"Luna," he said trying to get the blonde's attention.
Luna turned around and smiled. "Oh. Hello, Blaise. I thought you wouldn't get here on time."
"You thought I wasn't curious enough about your vague words? You are certainly wrong about that. Now, tell me about that mysterious thing of mine." Blaise said.
"The thing is, Blaise," Luna said twirling her hair. "That the thing of yours isn't actually real. I just wanted to talk to you,"
Blaise looked at her and almost smiled. "That's very Slytherin of you, Luna."
Luna smiled. "Well, I did keep my promise. I met you at the gate, didn't I? You didn't make me promise to tell you about anything."
Blaise smiled fully at that. "Oh, Luna. I knew I liked you because of something,"
Luna just giggled at that.
