i stared through the scope of my sniper rifle, poised and ready to strike, my finger curled around the trigger like a snake constricting it prey.

the prey at this moment is a high ranking imperial officer.

ironically it was an imperial who hired me to do the hit, something about a sympathizer to the rebel cause and such. i don't usually pay attention to the background of my targets, i just listen for the names and pictures, and if possible, the location.

i spot movement in the top floor of the building i have been watching for over an hour and 30 minutes, i zoom in on the movement and zoom in on whoever it is. i make a comparison between the picture and the person.

pale skin, check.

lanky posture, check.

trimmed beard, check.

grey eyes, check.

this was my target, i grinned to myself, "about time".

just like a snake does to it's prey i tightened the hold on the trigger.

BANG

the poor bugger went down like a rock.

"job well done"

it was clean and quick, thankfully.

he was lucky i got him in between the eyes, if i had hit him several inches higher i would have pierced his frontal lobe at an angle, that would have cut clean through his brain severing lots of nerve connections, the result would be loud and messy.

if i had hit him there he would flop around like a fish, puking blood.

at least he died quickly.

i got up from my position and ran to my star fighter as fast as i could, this guy had a whole regiment at his beck and call, it won't take long for them to realize the top dog is dead and sound the alarm. i got in my starfigher, a old republic arc fighter and flew for orbit.

once i got out of orbit and into hyperspace, i contacted my client.

"it's done" i said to the hologram of my client "good job bounty hunter, return to my ship and you will be awarded"

i closed off the hologram and smiled to myself.

"just another day at my job"

hello guys, godless here, thanks for reading my story, if you didn't just skip it all that is,

this is a new project I'm working on to get me back into the writing mood, this is pretty much a rehash of my other story called sniper, that now that i look at it was pretty sloppy.

anyways i don't know what my writing schedule will be so I'm just gonna randomly update this.
